I understand it:

Makes complete sense?? Nobody does this at the NFL level with OTs. If the Rookie isn’t ready you get him in as a jumbo 6th for certain plays you don’t rotate him. Ridiculous.

 

Yep, Denver sent 6 most of the second half daring Arthur Smith to throw the ball. One second half Fields to Pickens connection would’ve cracked the game wide open.

 

And this is the way the defenses should play the Steelers until the offense proves otherwise.

 

all this tells me is that tomlin has no clue about OL play and OL players. In that sense, it makes complete sense.

It will be one on one opportunity for Pickens if the opposing defense play like that,so it should not be hard for the coaching staff to adjust!

 

This is only 2 games but this still crazy that J.K. Dobbins has almost 10 yards per run to start the season....Need to contain him....

 

Defenses could still put 8 in the box and still keep the free safety over the top for Pickens against the Steelers offense. It's not matter of the coaching staff adjusting, the question is will they? The offense will eventually be better than what it has been, but it's going to take Roman Wilson to be a viable #2 WR for it to happen.

 

tomlins decision on this, while might be understandable, is stupid. There’s logic to it… in a stupid kind of way.

Its a line of logic that makes football HC do stupid things.

It’s generally best to not defend stupid even if one understands why a stupid person does stupid things.
