    I mean....

If both Fields and Wilson don't pan out, will the Steelers be even in position to take one of the highly touted QBs?! I honestly don't think so. As it stands currently, Quinn Ewers, Carson Beck, Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward and Jaxson Dart. Thus far, that is, more or less, what you have among the top signal callers among the 2025 Crop of QBs as of today.

Will Howard is an intriguing name but the last time Pittsburgh went after a rhythm timed passer... it didn't end well. Jalen Milroe or Drew Allar both have my intrigue and both have top shelf matchups coming up; Alabama against Georgia while Penn State will take on Illinois next week. Quite a bit on the line for both in terms of Draft Stock.

Overall, having Fields pan out would benefit the Steelers quite a bit. Pittsburgh doesn't have to draft a QB in Round 1 (they will regardless) and can focus on another position. As it stands, Wide Receiver is in DIRE NEED of an upgrade while IDL can no longer be ignored. Cornerback for me remains the wild card though Cory Trice's development thus far does give me hope there.

Would love to see what Wilson can do, when he is healthy. I’m just glad Fields was able to keep us undefeated with 2 away games.

Wilson pulled a calf muscle in practice 2 months ago

Exactly what is your definition of healthy and when are you expect this

I would hope the coaches would be able to answer that. If he is healthy and Fields is still starting then we have our answer.

LoL. Malik only won because the Qb He was facing was way worse a pick than He was. How anyone watched Richardson in college, and said.....Hey we must have that guy in the 1st round....I will never know

    Lol indeed.

Physical Intangibles for QBs in today's NFL is a necessity to win. Gone are the days of the statue-esque pocket passers of the 90s. Those days are not coming back.

Mahomes sure as hell isn't one himself. It is his superfreak level arm that causes both respect and fear league wide. Given the fact that he can run?! No one can properly prepare for him.

Getting to Anthony Richardson, dude has only played a grand total of 13 games at QB before coming into the league. Shane Steichen has worked on freak level toolsy QBs before; Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts being the previous two. Richardson will be fine.

I get it; you don't like QBs who can run. That is fine. However, to state that they are doomed simply isnt true. The NFL Rules have changed for them. Coincidentally enough, Lamar's 2019 MVP Campaign paved the way for the rise of Dual Threat QBs. Hell, even coming out, Justin Herbert was more Dual Threat then than he is now.

Disagree with first part kind sir. Pocket passer will come back when all these running qbs cant stay on field due to injuries.
I, for one, have no problem with a qb that has mobility. Dont like a run first qb. Josh Allen is a good qb. Mahommes lots of mobility but will tend to find a wr before running.

If you want a franchise qb, you will be better off to draft and groom a qb.
These 2 we got now are more like a bandaid . We need one to play well get rid of the other. Draft a qb this year to go along with offensive line we have rebuilt.

The drafted qb can sit a year or two behind our starter. Hopefully he mentally learns game from sidelines. This is how it should be done.
Not saying KFP wouldve been better, but it would’ve gave him a chance to learn from the sidelines. Before anyone says, how can he learn from Mitch and Mason, its not only other qbs he gets info from, but he can watch opposing defensive formations ask OC what do I do in these situations. Be a student of the game before you are thrown into the fire. Much better chance to succeed.

Who among the 2025 FAs would be in contention then?! Dak Prescott is off the list. Here is the complete list as of today.

Sam Darnold would be the only other one. Mason isn't coming back.

Not a fan of Milroe. Allar as i stated before , disappears in big games.
Ewers or Beck my top choices at current time. Most likely both will be gone in top 10, unless we move up depending on what we do this season, unlikely we get either qb.
