I know I will get a lot to disagree, but.....
I will say this once again.
Russell Wilson had the exact same overall TDs, and turnovers last year as the MVP Lamar Jackson, but He did it on that terrible Broncos team we just beat by only scoring 1 Td.
Now that HC Sean P doesn't have D Brees. He doesn't look so smart.
All I'm trying to say is.....just maybe everyone calling Russell Wilson done are wrong, and that Broncos team just sucks, and Sean Payton isn't really all that.
Again Russell Wilson had the same amount of overall Tds last year as MVP Lamar Jackson had, but He did it on that terrible Broncos team.
    Now....Let the Hate flow:emperor:

Hope you're right, and maybe we'll get to see something if he can get back on the field. Here's hoping.

Russell Wilson is currently the best damn backup QB in the NFL. Period.

Is Fields turning the Football over?!

Compared to his days in Chicago, he is much improved.

Coaching and maturity. have no idea how long Darnold's run will continue, with Jefferson he certainly has the best or one of the best weapons in the league. In the first half yesterday Fields played really well. Perfect, no, but take the penalties away on a couple of those completions and the picture looks even better.

The second half was a nitemare, can't blame Fields, it was a crap show from the play calling to nearly everyone's performance on the field. We need a solid number 2, in reality what team is going to give up anyone with true ability this early in the season.

I want to see what Fields does when we are forced to score 30 points to win.

Will he make big mistakes or shine?

correct - he is much improved in that regard, although he has dodged a couple of turnover bullets that would nullify this point

this offense (like last year) can 'survive' with an AMAZING D (TJ, CAM, Highsmith, Fitz and others....) w/ paying it safe, most of the time

but they will not go too far.

    we all know that.

SCORING POINTS will matter at some point, but for now, it is working.

Fields is 6-2 in the last 8 starts, since the time that he no longer has the worst defense in the NFL like it was the case in 2022 and first half of 2023

You can win with him...Of course he need some improvement but the team around him need to be much better with less penalties and thing like that

Fields has never gone 3 starts in a row with no turnovers. Maybe Arthur Smith has cured him, but I’m waiting for the turn to form. I’ll be impressed if they beat LAC, but I could see that game getting ugly.

Exactly. Arguably the most important quality for a decent QB. Game managing and controlling the ball

Damn man, a guy comes in off the bench and wins your favorite team 3 straight games over 3 tough teams, 2 on the road, plus gets them to Playoffs and you diss him. He didn't mean it Mason;)

In another thread a mistakingly said that Russell Wilson was washed which is wrong because there's no way I could possibly know that yet. However, I will stand by my concern for his mobility or lack thereof especially with the injury he is dealing with. I definitely wouldn't have a problem if Tomlin decided he needed to go to Wilson to spark the offense but I do think both quarterbacks should have a very short leash if they start digging themselves a hole.

He's not really a backup in the true sense of the word, he'd be starting if he wasn't injured. He'd definitely be the best backup QB in the NFL, when healthy

Caleb Williams wouldn't mind having some of Justin Fields' stability and Coaching. For that matter, a better question remains is if Williams will survive the season. @KnoxVegasSteel@KnoxVegasSteel can tell you about Darnell Wright a lot better than I could but I did have him as the second best tackle in the class. Dude played like a Pro Bowler last season. He has completely regressed.

Another classic case of coaches affecting their players. Let the players play the game the way they know how dammit!

I'm guessing they can't be conservative in play calling. I do believe our D will handle things pretty well but we're going to need some points. This is a true test for Tomlin and Fields.
