No Steelers picked in the "Top 25 aged 25 and under"

None of their top 25 were Steelers. I would have to agree (except maybe it should have been Markice instead of Mike.

I was a bit surprised that R. Wilson would be the #1 pick in the league if all players were draftable.

 

I'm not surprised that the Steelers' young talent isn't highly considered. It doesn't deserve to be. Our beloved franchise is in deep trouble.

 

For the most part, the reason our young players aren't highly considered is because their growth is stunted their first few years in the league. It seems that our coaches have this "brilliant phiolosophy" in not playing young players because they can't grasp the defense because LeBeau's system is much too complicated or for some other pathetic reason. I have some serious concerns about our young players and how we've seen a lack of physical development out of them and how none of them seem to want to step up into a leadership role.

 

I dont think they are in that deep of trouble. The have built a very talented and young oline to keep their top rated rated qb veritical. Brown and Sanders can play and you can find a very good wr on the second day. They need a rb but that is another position easily fixed in the draft. They had high hopes for red but obviously that didn't work out. I like our offense a lot and think as long as Ben buys in it will be a great offense. Seems under Haley its the second year he is there the offense takes off. The defense worries me a bit but I still think we will be top ten just because of Lebeau and our ability to cover guys down field. Maybe Robinson comes on strong in his second year and becomes a monster like Harrison . A healthy troy goes a long way as well. If they stay healthy they will be back in the hunt next year.
