Pitt football the past 40 years

I told my son it’s over. Defense sucked the second half. They don’t deserve to win. Then all of a sudden everything started to click and they rose to the occasion.

 

I just watched the highlights. So damn mad I gave up. Don't know much about the NCAA. Does Pitt have a favorable schedule?? I think Syracuse and Clemson are tough teams? Pitt has both in Pittsburgh.

 

Just wow. From 2005-23, Pitt was 0-72 when trailing by double digits in the fourth quarter, according to ESPN. This season, the Panthers are 2-0. And they seem to finally have a decent QB now with 3 - 300 yd games as a freshman. HTP!

 

Do you follow NCAA? Is the Panthers schedule tough? easy?

 

Clemson and Louisville only ranked team for now on their schedule. First time against a Pac 12 team, Cal. Syracuse and NC are always toss ups. Lots of fluff games as well. Who knows. D looks bad (again) but hope with some of the offense weapons and the young QB. Would have loved to be at the Cincy and WVU games but probably would have suffered cardiac arrest.

 

Youngstown State? I'm guessing 4-0 most likely.

 

Narduzzi teams have been embarrassed several times by weak foes over the years. Hopefully they can build a sizable lead and rest starters in the 2nd half (to avoid injuries) before the real ACC season begins in NC next week.

 

Pitt 4-0 / Steelers 3-0 would make for a happy week.

 

Pens 1-0; Pirates 0-162.

 

I see I can stream the game on my computer. I'll wait until Pitt is down by a couple TD's. That's when the fun starts

Putting a whopping on an inferior team is another marker of a good team. There is something about this Pitt team.

Eli Holstein has now been chosen as ACC Rookie of the week 4 weeks in a row and now ACC Player of the Week after the thrashing of Youngstown State. Cheers young man. Many more to come hopefully and assuming he stays put at Pitt before the NIL agents lure him away.

Oh Eli, you will learn to go to another read. Just a terrible, terrible decision. But they are moving the ball and I'm sure there is no panic.

 

19 play, 9-minute drive for the Tar heels results in no points when they misfire on a 4th down when they could have had an easy 3. Pitt scores in 90 seconds on a five-play drive. Des Reid is electric.
