Pff blames a sack on the lineman no matter what. Big k spinderellas into a sack and the lineman gets dinged so their gradings are garbage imo. Similar to their pass rush grades for defensive linemen. You watch Moore is going to get paid next year and yall will be sitting there going how did that happen.

I get that PFF has to credit someone, it is why Jones got credited for the sack that Fields ran himself into on the sideline... But yeah, I'm not too worried about seeing Dan Moore get paid out next year. He will make fine money and will be allowed by some team to compete for a starting job, but he isn't seeing a huge contract. Not unless he puts up a top 5 tackle worthy season this year (and that isn't going to happen).

Moore is the starting LT. Jones is the starting RT. Fautanu is the 1st backup for both. He's healthy now so he can rest Jones for a spell. That's good news.

It's not really. It's what most Running Qbs run...., about 100 , or more times a year. I didn't just pull that number out of My butt.

Do You ever read my post , or just glance at them. Why did You skip the guys from the 1930, and on.....is over 90 years ago not more than 25 years ago, and they ran for over 100 times in less games.....just like yelling.....writing more words don't make You correct. Again we have had qbs run for over 100 times in a year since the 1930s.....that way over 25 years ago.
Also I like how you try lying to the people. Wilson didn't have 100 rushes the year He won the SB, but nice try.
Like @Formerscribe@Formerscribe said before. Can You make an argument without changing the facts, or I believe he said maybe lying??? It doesn't seem You can. While people give facts in there arguments.....you change facts to make yours.

So He's like Hines Ward. Who was a Wr that we kept drafting 1st round picks to take his place , and before anyone knew it ......they decided Ward was great??? Like that???

You seem to be ignoring the injury. If he doesn't start Sunday, it is due to the elbow, not the long or short-term good of the team. They probably should have done this sooner, resting him to get him healthy, but maybe that wasn't an option with Fautanu out.

Because he has been trying to play through that elbow injury for weeks without giving it a rest. That came out around the time of his lousy performance in the second preseason game. In no way was he bad enough against Atlanta to be benched, so if he's sitting, he's hurting.

I'm not accusing anyone of lying. I have pointed out things people posted that I thought were misleading, but I'm not claiming any of them did it on purpose. Sometimes people post things that they think are valid, but they are actually misleading. Take the 3.nothing example. Maybe some people genuinely think that is the proper way to represent a running back with a career average of 3.9 yards per carry. To me, that suggests numbers far worse.

I think it’s blatantly obvious the team has a much higher knowledge of football than the fan base.

Allowing him to work through an injury while said injury can be worsened?! Remember that the elbows of Offensive Lineman are going to take a major pounding as opposing EDGE Players and Defensive Players as a whole are going to be constantly pushing against their opponents. While it is true you can increase your experience through continued playing time, it is also true that, if you are are in pain, you will also increase the likelihood of making that pain even worse. I suspect that is what is happening with Broderick Jones.

He has been wearing that elbow brace since the beginning of Training Camp. We are now in the Regular Season where every opposing player is going to go 100% all the time. Broderick isn't getting a break to alleviate that pain in his elbow at all for there are no "easy weeks" in the NFL. Every starting EDGE Player is talented enough to make their opposing Offensive Tackle foes look silly.

As for Dan Moore?! When did I say that Dan Moore is the future?! What I said was that Dan Moore has played his best game as a Steeler by far. That really isn't saying much overall but it does underline how difficult it is for young Offensive Lineman to get acclimated to the NFL Game. Not every first ever game for every first ever Offensive Lineman is going to look like Zach Frazier; much less Joe Alt of the Chargers.

We both agree that Broderick Jones is the future. What we both don't agree on is Broderick Jones being benched. I have stated he needs benched to get his elbow healed as much as possible. I never said that this is the end for Jones. Only if he elects to quit will it be.

Somewhere along the line someone from the Steelers made it clear playing with the injury would not worsen it

Got it. So as long as Fields only runs 99 times this season, he’s not a running QB.

the trouble is we didn't have much choice but to continue to play jones with the injury. cooks was hurt and troy was hurt. anderson played guard for seumalo that was injured. now that troy is back and cook is closer to being healthy they can send jones to the bench now.

More like Jones needs the bench for his own good.

Again... I love Broderick Jones. He was my first pick that I wanted the Steelers to grab back in 2023. I also said that, given the lack of star power of that Offensive Tackle class, Pittsburgh needed to trade up to acquire him.

Tomlin himself was also on record in stating that Broderick was a "diaper dandy" and needed time. Year two has not been kind to him. It would be one thing if Broderick were healthy and his overall ability was regressing but to have an injury be the main cause of it?! That is an entirely different story all together.

isn't it against the rules to not disclose injuries as at least "probable"?

By mid season you would have 40 players as probably

Plus I think the only official designations are questionable doubtful and out

I believe that is correct. I don't think probable is an official designation.

If I remember correctly, the silliness of the NFL's rules for injury designations are why the Patriots listed Tom Brady as having a shoulder injury for years. There was no chance he was going to miss any games, but it was Belichick's way of tweaking the league.

LoL . You know you have to have a number somewhere. I mean why 60 miles an hour....why not 63???
Why 60 Seconds for a minute, and not 52???
Why 17 games, and not 20??.
You would be surprised how many running Qbs go over 100 rushes....., and how many more would have ....if.....if....they didn't get hurt. The number actually came from a group of coaches talking about it during a college game day a few years back, and that's where I heard it. Hell You want it to be down in the 50s, or 40s go ahead,,but then P. Manning is a running Qb, Brees is a running Qb, and so on. This is what they were talking about when the mentioned 100 carries. I believe it was mentioned that if a Qb runs a third of the time , or more than Your average starting RB.....You could be a Running Qb. LoL
