    Would you trade for him?

I understand how Arthur Smith scheme is. If you don't here you go.... as you see he doesn't need a WR #2.

But my reasoning would be blocking for why I would welcome Johnson back.

However I don't think Johnson would want to come back.

The steelers could add a WR at some point but no chance it will be Johnson

It wouldn't be the worst thing they could do. Right now all they have is Pickens, the rest of those guys are practically useless. DJ would be a huge upgrade

    Not gonna happen.

There is a reason why the Steelers traded Johnson. It would defeat the purpose of re-aquiring him for his time is finished in Pittsburgh. For that matter, if I am Pittsburgh, I'd look for other options.

Nope. Won't happen. He was traded for a reason and we all know why

People need to stop with this claim that Smith's offense doesn't need a No. 2 receiver. That player may not catch the ball as much as the No. 2 in other offenses, but there are usually at least two receivers on the field, so yes, they need better than Van Jefferson.

I don't think you can bring Johnson back, but I wouldn't be shocked to see them do it if he came cheaply enough.

Hey guy, off topic but you may find this interesting. My avatar is on my arm. I live in a tourist town. (bye bye tourist, I got my golf course back) Yesterday I noticed a guy trying to position himself so he could get a better look at my right shoulder. I had a sleeveless shirt on. I started to get uncomfortable and he took a chance and said, "steel machine". He is a follower of our board. I asked if he was a member but he just shrugged it off. I don't think he wanted me posting his name for some reason. We started talking about members and both said same thing about you. You are the information guy:) We both love that you post all the stuff about Steelers so we don't have to search stuff out.

He said he enjoyed most the members. I tried baiting him and asked if he is in the season prediction poll but he just laughed.

You need to learn his scheme and what those two other WR do. If you think we need a Brandon ayiuk you're kidding yourself. All a #2 WR will do here is maybe 20 receptions.

Johnson won't be back, but they do need to trade for a WR soon. We have literally nobody worth a damn behind Pickens. Better teams are going to be able to scheme Pickens better and then we'll be stuck.

They seemed to think they needed Brandon Aiyuk. They need someone who is a threat, not a scrub like Jefferson.

I'm not saying they should, or even would, but he's much better than anything they've got right now other than Pickens

If you remove a diseased kidney you don’t wait a while and put it back in

We will have to disagree on the part about him being better

What makes you think they will trade him? Just because the team is bad?

I think there is next to 0 chance we trade for someone a couple weeks into a season where we traded away that same player that offseason.... Doesn't make a lot of sense.

It makes at least some sense, if they can get him cheap. Very unlikely it will happen, but who else is out there that might be on the trading block? They need help, sooner rather than later

You don't think Johnson is much better than every receiver the Steelers currently have other than Pickens? Really?

DJ was not a team guy before. We don't need him. Even if we need another WR, we don't need him.

Courtland Sutton feels like he could be value for a trade. He'd make a good WR2 and was rumoured in the summer not just to us but to be traded elsewhere. Might have imagined it but I feel he may have been on the 49ers radar if they ended up losing Aiyuk. Probably unrealistic as we'll stick with what we have.

Trade a conditional 6th for him. If he continues to run backwards after the catch then pick becomes a 7th

The 49ers offered the Broncos a third-round pick for Sutton. If that went through, Aiyuk would be a Steeler right now. When the Broncos said no, they got the extension done with Aiyuk.
