You maybe totally correct. Time will tell. I'm just going off what I seen in the game.

This is key no matter who the QB is.

That's their stupidity, but don't forget....some on this very board wanted Him, and D Watson, and thought we should pay that money to them. LoL

The Browns are especially stupid. They have literally had 17 starting QBs in a decade. That could be a record . Not sure

To be fair though, Watson looks nothing like he did for Houston. Texans either deserve a lot of credit for game planning or his game fell off a cliff after he missed time.

Regardless, it’s great that Cleveland blew themselves up.

Do you think all that guaranteed money killed his motivation, and he's just playing not to get hurt? Don't know how his game can drop off that much in a couple of years

Don’t know. Maybe he needs to get his freak on in order to play well.

I just threw up a little.

Hind sight is 20/20. Steelers should have signed Baker Mayfield in 2022 and drafted Center or OT in the first round instead of QB.

Fields seems like Lamar Jackson light. he had a few problems, but he was ok ----yes----Control the snap trouble and he would be better. Also no ints always a +++++

But this has been proven over , and over before. You can win more games by just not turning the ball over. More games are lost than won by teams....., and Bill Belichick is not the 1st I've heard that from.

At the time, some of us said that they should have taken Linderbaum instead.

Mayfield was not a free agent that year,he was still with the Browns in that offseason so I don't think it would been possible to have Mayfield because the browns are in the same division that Pittsburgh

And this is also important for a player to be in a good situation and Mayfield prove that....Awful situation with the panthers but much better since.I don't think Mayfield would been good with us because of Matt Canada

I just saw on ESPN that Tomlin said the plan for the Broncos game this week is to play Fields and they will keep monitoring the calf issue with Wilson.

    I despise Fields.
But I have to admit, he played better than I expected.
I'm not about to board the Justin Fields bandwagon, I'll just follow it in my car.

Atlanta is no weak team, I figured that pass rush would be on him all day. So, some credit to that OL is much deserved.
At the same time, I am painfully aware, as should Omar, that a #2 WR is MIA. Still, I think the Steelers can be in the playoff hunt.

    why would you despise him?

He is a new fresh young undeveloped talent in the league.

if you just like Marino and Elway types, than I can understand why, I suppose.

Steelers are preparing Justin Fields to start vs. the Broncos, coach Mike Tomlin said. The team will continue to monitor Russell Wilson in practice.

i have no doubt it will be Fields, for reasons shared in other threads.

FULL WEEK under C, work in more plays.

but at the end of day, it will be very conservative. Trust this D and Boswell to win, Steelers 19, Doncos 16.

Bottom line is that what we saw from Fields Sunday will get us over .500, but it won't take us to the next level, and that is what I expect from my team.....
Not bad is not gonna beat the Chiefs, 49ers, eagles, Texans or even cowboys of the world..
Not bad will just keep us in the middle of the pack collecting participation trophies
