No punters, no punting! We move forward or die.

This is unbelievable. First friggin game.
I guess the Steelers are not permitted to have a good punter.
Didn't even get a flag on the damn play.
Refs blew soo many calls yesterday.

Like the OP said, bad news, but I'm sure nobody is surprised. The injury was as nasty as it looked. You hate to see your punter get injured, especially his first game, it's just freak bad luck. Hope Johnston comes back strong next year, and that they pick up another punter that doesn't have the initials PH.

Horrible no matter what, but this guy was something special. Hate to see him out for the season.

I think they either roll it back with Pressley Harvin III or they give Brad Wing a call

Corliss Waitman could be one to watch too.

i think Killebrew threw the defender into him, innocent injury of sorts, from what I saw.

    Regardless, this SUCKS

I believe it was his kicking leg. Let’s just hope it’s not career ending.

That was a horrible injury and it should have been a flag. Killebrew did not throw the defender into the punter. He had slightly bad positioning and got beat but the defender would have roughed the kicker no matter what. He never touched the ball and ran straight into the punters kicking leg. If they want to sissyfy the sport to the tune of the bubble wrapped kickoffs then perhaps they should let punters free kick with no pressure. This kids short career might possibly be over because refs were letting the dirty birds get away with murder while handcuffing the Steelers all game long.

It is safe to assume that both Johnston being out will have negative consequences and that NFL Officiating, league wide mind you, was still in Preseason Form. Regardless, losing Johnston stings. Now the onus shifts to whos the next option.

Pressley Harvin III or Corliss Waitman?!

    Take your pick.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect Boz to reliably hit field goals out to 90 yards. And if he misses now and then, that's why we've invested so much capital into the defense.

Sad, He was going to be a much needed weapon
    with flipping field position.

Neither, they both suck. Would rather have Wing or Jordan Berry

Would you complain about averaging 36 points a game?

    Certainly not!

If we win games solely through scoring safeties I’d be happy, so long as we win
