If Kenny Pickett threw for 156 yds and zero TD's would you be talking about how well he played?

No, but I'd know you would disparage him for not doing anything in the first three quarters, but got lucky in the fourth quarter to pull the game out. Literally the story of Kenny with the Steelers

The offense didn't finish a drive all day. Why would they finish that one?

There were plenty on here that were cool with 156 yards and 0 TD's from Kenny. His big breakout game was a 16 point outburst in Cincy.... We were nearly ready to turn the keys over to him for year 3 (somehow).

We moved the ball a lot better after we opened the playbook more and allowed Fields to take a few shots. I would've liked to have seen us get a bit more aggressive, but with the defense playing so well I understand that it wasn't necessary.

Not a fan of all the late game QB runs. Fields was the starting QB, so he deserves a little more protection from those hard hits that he was taking in the 4th QTR

Also, damn that had to be one of the worst QB sneaks I had seen in a very long time. Practice, practice, practice!

I don’t understand when the entire world knows that there is going to be a QB sneak and you don’t run something to the outside either by design or a quick audible. The entire right side of the field was wide open. Fields could have bootlegged for 5,6 or more easily. Or here’s a thought. Kick the GD field goal and go up by 8.

Sometimes you have to give credit to the defense. That guy made a Troy like play.

Offense is still really bad but not turning it over and the D playing well recipe for a W

Another nice stat yesterday, only one 3 and out. Had way too many of those last year, gasses the defense.

I’ve seen that not called OPI 9 out of 10 times throughout the NFL.

Extremely weak call. Then there was the down by contact, the no call for face mask/ripping helmet off of Harris, offsides on TJ.

I get it, bad calls are part of the game but the officiating sucked bad yesterday.

The Falcons are just a dumb organization, always have been. First they fire their HC with a losing record, only to hire another HC with an identical losing record. Then they sign a 36 year old QB to a 180 million dollar contract after him missing a year coming off of a torn achilles tendon. There's a reason why the Falcons haven't won a SB in their 58 years of existence, and probably never will

Sure looked like it to me. The general rule of thumb with offensive P.I. is full extension of the arms. Pickens didn't do that. I've seen a lot more egregious push offs not get called.

I will say though, I'm fine with the refs leveling the playing field between the receivers and db's. More often then not it's the db who gets called even if the receiver initiates the contact.

He played well enough to win with a defense that kept Atlanta to 10 points. He played a little better than I expected, and for that I'm thankful, but I haven't seen anything different yet to make me bank on him as a future starter.

LG out, new C, and rookie draft pick LT or RT injured. + last years #1 in an elbow brace (Jones played relatively well, from what i saw)

    2nd Rd WR out
    RB hampered. (Warren)

O played well, all things considered.

Nobody was happy with those numbers, but some of us saw room for improvement in Pickett. The offense broke its long streak by finally going over 400 yards in that game against the Bengals and the score was that low in part because the officials robbed them of a touchdown pass to Johnson early in that game.

They treated Fields like the backup he is, which was fine, but they have to let him be himself if he's going to play. That means using that big arm to take shots down the field and giving him opportunities to run.

In the first quarter, he performed like Kenny due to the coaches keeping a tight reign. It started to loosen up afterwards and he started to make plays. We still have to finish drives and that goes back even before Kenny
