And the D having no fear of a passing game has nothing to do with this. Hell not only the opponents D, but our own coaches showed this. Don't go by what they say .....go by what they do.

Harris had a big run on that pitch play, so maybe he isn't the reason some of the other attempts failed so badly.

It just has to be blocked so perfectly for it to work with Harris running it. He doesn't read cutbacks well, and he isn't really explosive enough to get through the line when one is there. One time our line won so hard that he got through to the second level and got 20 yards, the rest just kinda went the way they're gonna go a lot. I was hoping some of the weight loss was going to help Naj look more explosive and be a bit more dangerous. Its only one game... but I wasn't really impressed with him today.

It's why he has so many 'angry runs', running into tackles.
He just doesn't have the greatest vision for a RB. When he has a FB leading him to the hole he is better.

Without the poor officiating we win this game around 28-3. After TJ's strip sack recovery that was called offside by the refs the Falcons scored their only TD two plays later. The OPI on Pickens cost us at least 3 points.

Maybe 27-3 with three more field goals by Boswell?

We can’t FG our way to the playoffs.

I like that we stuck with the run game but let the kid throw a little on first down.

Where is that thread "Same old Steelers" this year? Steelers offense can't score 20 points and the defense holds the team to 10.

Was the TD Beanie Bishop showing why he was undrafted, or should there have been somebody behind him?

That play should have never happened, because of Watt's strip sack that was wrongly called offsides.

Using this logic, Caleb Williams should have the ball taken away from him a lot more even though his innate passing talent far exceeds Fields.

Our offensive play calling was very conservative. They obviously didnt trust Fields passing ability, probably with good reason. He’s a run first backup.

Wilson is the hope this season.

The D looked good and the O line i thought was ok in pass protection. Hopefully with Wilson passing the run game opens up.

so we get out of week 1 with the loss of our punter. Not good but could’ve been worse.

Atlanta played the run tougher than I thought they would.

I thought Najee would have started running over these guys and would have opened up Pickens downfield.

I am tickled pink that we were not going three and out 4 out of 5 possessions. Major improvement on just being able to move the ball.

We should start a poll asking when Steelers will score first TD of 2024. If Wilson is out for Denver we will FG them to death.

Offense was brutal in the NFL in week 1

Denver's defense is highly susceptible to the run and has been for a few yrs... We will get in the end zone wk 2... It just won't be through the air without Russ

Maybe we should start another poll for the offenses first 400 tot. yds game again....
We had 270 tot. yds against Atlanta...
Hmmm... Under 20 pts... Under 400yds??
    Sound familiar????

Once again shortened preseason… guys are not playing enough before start of season. Rust and more rust. We have to accept that the first 2 reg season games are going to be sloppy

Very true....Some team don't play their offense at all in the preseason and the product for the first 2-3 week is brutal.

Offense wasn't great, but it wasn't great league wide by a lot of teams.

I think Steelers dumbed it down a good bit, and it won them the game. Steelers didn't turn it over, Atlanta did and got away with a few more at least due to penalties

    Quite a day by Chris Boswell. 6 FG's, 3 over 50+
Placed all kickoffs either in the end zone or short, I'm sure he was asked to do so.

Came in a punted a 43 yarder when pressed into duty.

Had to kick one FG with back up holder.

Also kudos to Scotty Miller, the holder job is very over looked, really long snapper, holder is all over looked. 1/10th of second screw up leads to block or miss in the NFL with speed guys have.

TJ Watt man what a game. I'm not sure where the Steelers would be without TJ Watt.

But, Highsmith has to do more when TJ is wrecking these games.

Far from perfect but if you watched the Steelers like I have, we hardly ever have a perfect win.
