The Browns were rent a new bodily orifice by the Cowboys. Watson had a 50.7 passer rating.
The Steelers beat the Falcons. Fields had a 91.7 passer rating.
I know it’s only game 1, but I am beginning to think that the Watson contract may have been a bad investment, how about you?

On the offensive side of the ball, it seems like every player that leaves his team to get some massive record setting contract seems to choke. Defensive guys seem to hold their own better in the same situation.

Browns should have given Baker Mayfield a 2nd contract. Good for us they wasted all that money on Watson.

Good observation, and I think that is mostly true. Maybe offensive success is more related to a system than defensive success. I don’t know.
Watson can’t be a very popular guy in Cleveland right now. He has hardly played, and when he has, he has stunk up the joint. The franchise will still be paying him wheelbarrows full of spinach when he is through with football and is golfing, presumably with Johnny Manziel.

Browns would be a damn good team, had they kept him.

Dak was much better...He had a great first half,no turnovers.Dak has been a very good QB for a long time now,he has problem in the playoffs, true but Watson has problem in every game since he is with the Browns!

He had a good 2020 season but he had a injury in 2021 who had a huge impact in his performence....The Browns make such a panic move and a overreaction after that year at this position

They can thank the owner. The HC wanted to keep the BM.

Did anyone see what he did today? 146.4 passer rating and 4 touchdowns. He torched the Fighting WTFs badly. All that after the Browns signed Watson and sent Mayfield packing.
It is the most Brownian thing ever. Every time they go to pick flowers, they step in dog ****.

I think a lot of us predicted Cleveland would regret selling the farm to sign Watson and we are seeing it all unravel for the Browns. I kind of liked the Clowns when they had Baker, but it's great I can hate them again now they have their "superstar" bum.

19 of 32 for 179 yards and one touchdown for Prescott versus 24 of 45 for 169 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for Watson. Not exactly what I would call "much better". Yes he took care of the ball better but not exactly what I would want out of a franchise guy getting paid that money.

The stats of Watson was inflated in garbage time and despite this,he had 10 less passing yards that Dak despite 13 more pass attempts

I don't think the cowboys and their fan are concerned about Dak,not in the regular season at least since he has been very good for many years now....Another story for Watson with the browns.....If you don't see the difference.....

I was not comparing the two players overall, just in that game. Clearly Prescott is the better player overall. Doesn't mean he shouldn't be playing better. If you don't see that........

He was very good in the first half and they were very conservative on offense when they had a huge lead.Dak was fine in this game,Watson was garbage
