Okay call up dl and ask him for us. While you’re sitting on hold look up how many playoff teams the Steelers played that year and the points they scored. Then compare.

This seems to somehow evade most. They act like this happens all the time.
Last time I seen a team fire their HC for winning was Marty S for the Chargers.....how has that worked out....like 502 HCs later??? LoL

So Buffalo, and Ravens should get rid of both Qbs, and HCs. I've haven't seen either win the big game, or even play in it.

So Bill Belichick should have been fired that year. Since the same Blake Bortles had more yards the next game , and the same amount of tds, and were one bad call away from the SB??

A bum off the street of San Francisco could have as many playoff wins as Mike T the last 7 years. What the difference.

That's not what the point is......., and the point many of You don't get .....You said firing Him for something that Belichick did even worse, and this is the problem.....many of You judge Tomlin in a void, and not actually like the rest of the HCs. Like the guy earlier that said about why do Wrs here have problems under Tomlin. LoL. Like....has he not been paying attention?? The league has problems with wrs, and their diva ways.....yet in his eyes....only Tomlin is having this problem.

LoL. See You make my point. You find one thing, out of 500 good things, neurosis much. LoL. Example: I hear how.....Well even the Browns have won a playoff game since, but nobody tells the whole story, that they haven't won for a long time before, and haven't since, and have been owned by us,,but see that doesn't fit the picture some are trying to paint...., and that's just one example.

What were our scouts doing for 7 yrs? Atleast Khan has gone after better talent out of college. But, even with a talented draft ... this team, find a way to make these players look like a bust. No development at all. And for MT to be a former db coach, he has never had any luck with drafting DB'S. So much so, we had to wait for db's to play out their initial contracts and pick them up in FA or when they're past their prime.

About Shazier, they had no one on the roster to replace what he could do, the entire defense was built around his abilities, the results were obviously a disaster. I could forgive them for that, monumental task to revamp your defense in season but then they spent years since trying to replace him, led to the Bush fiasco and countless other failures.

I do believe the Jags were better than they are getting credit for, they nearly beat the Pats the next week, they were playing inspired ball and were not void of talent.

Still was a brutal loss and felt Tomlin looking ahead to NE was inexcusable.

So Ike Taylor wasn't better under Tomlin than Cowher??? Willie Gay??? Keene Lewis wasn't a better CB with us than when He left??? A Burns hasn't looked good anywhere.....so Just a bad pick. JPJ ????
CBs maybe the 2nd hardest position to draft.

If you look only at the PPG and ignore at the context, the bears with Rex Grossman had the same PPG that the colts with Manning back in 2006....I still don't think the bears had a similar offense that the colts that year!

If you look at the point per drive in 2017,the steelers were 4th on offense vs 14th for the jaguars

It takes that type of mentally to want to play the position most of the time.... I always thought. They are a really dependent position. A Wr could actually play a whole game without having done anything, but block, and run routes, and so when they get the time to shine.....they want to make everyone see it. They have always seemed to me the players that could actually be happy with a loss.....as long as they got their touches, and their play. What other positions do you really see besides a Wr get upset with a win if they don't get their touches, but seem almost happy with a loss....as long as they got theirs. Of course I'm biased.....so that is JMO, but I've heard others say it also....., but not every Wrs is like that.....just most.....again JMO

Because they get to occasionally make a big play and then they are all alone in the field able to take all of the credit. Guards for example just grind it out in the trenches and are humble.

Running backs are not far off.

True but it’s also not a great idea to be complacent and not even try either. Steelers are the definition of stale.

1st.....You don't fire a coach for winning. We go two years back to back without winning enough to make the playoffs.... then I'd consider it, but You don't fire a winning coach.
2nd. If the Steelers listened to fans ...Cowher would never have won a SB, and therefore probably never made the HOF. Because just as many of the fan base wanted Cowher fired then as they do Tomlin now,,but somehow they are all now Cowher fans. LoL. Proving.....they didn't have a clue

Probably the same fans who thought Polamalu was a bust when he entered the league and now wear his jersey around religiously.
