Merril Hodge: Flacco number one QB in NFL right now. Ben number 4

Flacco is streaky. Ben is better than Flacco and excels him as far as light excels darkness. To say that Flacco is better than Tom Brady is absolutely ridiculous. I agree with Tomlin_Era all the way. This league and the people who follow it have become so flavor of the week it's ridiculous. If Dilfer were playing in this day and age they would be saying he is elite too. It's just a marketing tool I think. The networks love to market games between "elite" qbs or "fierce" rivals even though most of our players were rooting for the stupid rat birds. They love to say "tune in and watch the #1 defense" even though we certainly didn't always play like the number 1 defense and when we had Josh Victorian on the field we DEFINITELY weren't a number 1 defense. Go ahead and call Flacco the best and then get him a big fat contract and then watch them get rid of the guys that can catch anything you throw at them get sent elsewhere and then tell me how elite Flacco is.

 

Go compare the 2 as far as stats go... then use the eye test...

If you look at flacco in the playoffs, you gotta agree with him he is elite (now). He is the current champ. Now if he goes out and gets spanked this year. He will again be known as flucco. I also am surprised some nfl show guys have Ben still at 4. He looked like chit in last years only playoff game and we didn't make them this year.

I love Coach T but the first ravens game is on him. Left***** couldn't breath without being in pain and he lest him almost all game in pain, and I think Charlie would have won that one too. He also needs to get rid og that, OH You fumbled you ain't dressing in the next game. Noll never benched Franco for one of his "rare" fumbles that I heard one announcer say every time he fumbled.

 

I agree that flacco will get a 100 million range contract, but where will they get the other 100 million to pay Boldin, Reed and Paul Kruger, to pay joe someone else has to go theres even talk by analysts about letting Jacoby Jones go to free up cap space, this after his 2 TD performance in the SB, it's going to be interesting to watch, but we have a similar cap problem here, so we arent out of the woods either when it comes to cap space, not enough for us to rejoice in the rats cap problems for sure......

 

ellerbe is free agent too , he was very good this season
