Last time UT played them, the Vols beat the brakes off those clowns.

I think they would be a middle of the pack team, Dabo doesn't like to use the transfer portal.

Fine. They've won the NC twice since 2016.

That's while facing nobody the rest of the season . If they were in the SEC they will face 3 different teams that have won national championships in that same time, and 5 different teams that have won it since 2000s. That is a way different schedule than only playing National champions when You get there.

Why would that matter if they can beat the SEC Champion? They manhandled Alabama in January 2019.

They'd get their brakes beaten off!!! Or maybe they would do really well. Hard to say

If You don't understand the difference between playing one National Championship type team a year to playing 4 ,or five a year.....I can't explain it,,or I won't bother.

Right now, I'd say they'd be a middle of the road team... Back between 16 and 20, they'd be top dog with Alabama. Dabo recruited top 3 classes those years and really didn't fall off until after Lawrence left.

Clemson is a storied program, and would come into the SEC with more credibility based on recent success than either A&M or Mizzou did a few years back, and those two schools have moved up into the upper 25% of the SEC. Being in the SEC would help recruiting and would make them better by facing a handful of marquee teams in conference every year in the regular conference season. Iron sharpens iron.

If they moved in this fall it would be tough because of their QB situation.

This is hilarious… they need to stay in weak ACC… they will never sniff another national championship in the SEC
Yet, saying this, they beat Alabama for national championship. So, this kinda moots my point. But, they dont get to championship playing SEC teams week after week.
    Does that make sense?

That's what I tried saying before. It's different beating one team, at a neutral place, and beating 4, or 5 teams a year.

Funny. I’m not a Clemson fan, but it’s funny how some folks will bury their heads in the sand and pretend that Clemson hasn’t been in 6 college football playoffs in the past decade, going 2-2 in National Championship games (both times beating Alabama). But hey…. It’s fun to pretend if that’s your thing. The reality is that Clemson was a top 1 or 2 program for a few years very recently. They can certainly get back there again. Their coach knows how to win on the national stage. But right now their offense (QB mainly) isn’t up to snuff at all. Today’s score wasn’t surprising with Klubnik as QB1.

Once again, ACC is not the SEC. You are playing higher quality teams every week. But, Miami just beat the brakes off of Florida!

I don't understand how this is hard to understand. Look at who they play....I mean really. I would hope a team can make it to the playoffs with one hard game a year. People can Think what they want. How many SEC teams are right now in the top 25.....I believe 9. Yes of course they won't all be at the end of the year.....because they must play each other.
