Khan's black eye. Give me DJ as WR #1, and being on the clock at #20 with all CBs still available.

It's always simple for Me. If You don't have at least 3 great CBs. You should draft a CB in the 1 st. LoL.
Also......I'm not going to judge Khan yet .....either good , or bad.....I've yet to see any of them for 3-4 years yet. I hope all of them are great

So you are saying that giving DJ the 2 year extension was a mistake

Yes I can agree with that

I said that when they signed him and so far I’m correct

Since when is acquiring a WR who had over 1,300 yards receiving and 7 TDs last season wasting picks ? I'm sure Art ll will disagree with you about this being a wash year, after last season he said it's time for the team to win some playoff games.

They signed Russell Wilson because they wanted a veteran QB who has won in the playoffs, you don't know ball if you think their OL could be the worst in the league .

I certainly won't learn anything from your old ass, explain to me how Diontae couldn't get at least 800 yards this season if he was on the Steelers?

The Steelers should inquire about a WR from Green Bay, or root for the Raiders to start the season really bad and Davante Adams wants out .

You must be blind if you think our o line has been worth a dam for last 4 years. Every qb has been injured for the steelers over 5 of the last 6 years.

DJ wanted elite money for average production. Plus we wanted to feature Pickens more. The team has disaster season written all over it. A million injuries and a pathetic o line. A d that we pay way too much to be lousy in the playoffs every year.

Why do you say DJ's $18 million was elite money for a WR? Have you seen what other WRs are making?

In 2022: The Pittsburgh Steelers and wide receiver Diontae Johnson have come to an agreement on a two-year extension worth $36.71 million

As bad as the line looked in preseason, it was mostly back ups and/or rookies. I have concerns for Jones, he was raw coming out of GA with exceptional talent. Seems like he has regressed some, could be the arm injury, bad teaching, or just messing around switching him from side to side (in practices). Injuries suck, but the core is there to build a stellar line. The move with DJ seemed to be more than just quitting on a play. The frustrations for the whole team were obvious with the OC they had and the results from Qb's. Whatever happened in the WR room was affecting everyone (especially Pickens), they removed a cancer. Letting Robinson walk did not surprise me, his contract was to high for the production, but not seeing the value in a guy like him or JuJu after their recent releases (based on what they have) kind of surprises me.

Wait, what? Wilson is listed at 6' 0" 180 lbs, DJ is 5'10" 183 lbs.

I'm sure that 3 lbs is gonna make all the difference in the world...

I continue to be amazed that some fans seem to think the Steelers are a WR2 away from competing for a championship. They aren't even a WR away from winning the division. They have multiple holes on both sides of the ball that will take a couple of drafts to plug.

I just phoned Art II on the Black & Gold phone and he said he has been saying it for years. Just didn't make it public. Picked a bad year for that statement.

Point out one person here who thinks that. I'll wait......

I continue to be amazed by people here who make gross exaggerations about what other fans think.

My philosophy on DBs is experience matters. I would rather bring in veterans than draft rookies. That said, I was very happy with us getting JPJr. I was a little surprised and disappointed we didn't get him in the first and risked him not being there at 32.

I don't know about the % ratio, but you make a good point. Jefferson makes the plays, seemingly regardless of who the QB is, they paid him because he is that good. Look at Dak without Lamb, it might be just the combination, but Lamb got paid because he is that good. Aiyuk got a great payday, is he a gamechanger because of the system and surrounded by other notable talent, or would he be a gamechanger on a less star filled team and the main option? We might never know, there are the few WR who can take control of a game, unbelievable talent who make exceptional plays game after game. DJ is not that guy. He has talent, but when the attitude becomes an issue on and off the field you have to move on.

I think the thing many are missing is how will the TE's work out in this system? Smith loves to use them, I like Muth, can he step up and be the guy, will Washington be a target that moves the chains? The NR 2 WR becomes less of an issue if these guys AND the system around them work. It would be great having one of the names that was touted, but right now I would go back to Allen Robinson and try and make that work before giving up precious draft capitol for somebody else's bust you hope you can transform.

Probably the biggest DJ fan here but his production wasnt all that great. Was bad QB play partly to blame for that, sure but he also showed he isnt that guy that can produce big numbers with bad QB play either and that’s not likely to improve with Wilson/Fields much.

Wilson isn't 6'0 ft tall, DJ is a proven route runner in the league.
