It really means absolutely nothing, but I thought it was funny.

Brandon Aiyuk is a Steeler... on my Madden Franchise team. :lolol: I recently got the game and started Franchise mode. The week before the official season start, I received a trade offer. So I click on it, and SF was offering Aiyuk for some draft picks. (costly, but not bad)

    It's fate. ;)

Its possible. They either get the money together to pay Aiyuk or risk him sitting out. They could decide to stop it all and just ship him to Pittsburgh. We will see.

No idea WTF the problem is between him and 49ers. Mind boggling.

Keep him out in San Fran…honestly sitting out practices, in his rookie contract. I, for one not interested in another Leveon.

Here is a scenario… lets see how the Raiders come out the gate this season. If they start 0-2, Davante Adams will asked to be traded, Steelers should be
Able to get him at a more reasonable price than Aiyuk. Once again this might yet be another knucklehead

Thank you… obviously a few on here dont see that. YOU are a problem when YOU REFUSE to play under your ROOKIE CONTRACT.

That 2nd and 3rd round draft pick does nothing for them this year, so there is no sense of urgency to trade him to Pittsburgh right now if they are getting a player back now that they need to get acclimated to their roster. Lynch just seems like a really spiteful dude though. I hope this whole thing really backfires in their face. SF that is. Steelers should tell them if the trade does not happen before the start of the season our trade compensation to you guys goes down.

Well, technically he would be on his 5th year team option... but yeah, I hear what you are saying.

However, across the league big-time franchise guys get paid before having to play out the 5th year option. Both CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson were drafted in the same year and got lucrative deals... so the market is there for him to get one too. Jamarr Chase is the one that is a headscratcher (he isn't on that 5th year option yet). Aiyuk certainly feels like he deserves the extension (and his play definitely does). No reason to just accept playing for 14 million when you can get 30+ million guaranteed in a signing bonus and 75+ million guaranteed over a 4 year stretch...

There is a lot more going into it than him signing a deal and him not playing it out. He's on the portion of that deal that he has no say in, and the market shows other guys getting that deal during this exact timeline. I'd probably be in the same boat as him if I were in his shoes.

True. That is why they have dragged this thing out as long as they have. If they weren't in win now mode, Aiyuk would already have been dealt. But they do risk Aiyuk pulling a LeVeon and them not having him for the year. I think that would be a bad move for Brandon, but that isn't my call.

Khan definitely should do that though. Especially since it would be hard to imagine Aiyuk would be 100% ready to go week 1 and we'd have to "phase him in". Looks like its just a second now, John. We live in a different world than we did two weeks ago...

Relieved this nonsense is over. Giving up a bunch of premium picks for this guy was never a good idea

This team is not a Brandon Aiyuk away from postseason relevance

Oh so its Lynchs fault? Nothing to do with Aiyuk and all the snide comments he made on social media? He is a headcase, glad he stayed in San Fran.

Its bad enough we have a borderline Pickens but to bring another one in would’ve been asinine. But Steelers like trying to fix things
