What makes it so funny to me is the argument I've had with people trying to tell Me T. Edmunds wasn't as bad as I said.....Yet since we let him go.....He can't keep a job.

 

I truly believe that the Steelers should hire you for the scouting department, because your eye on talent is always right. Your eye on what happened during a specific play is always the right analysis.

I don’t know about other board members, but you always are correct.

I really am kidding, my opinion on the throw is that the wr made the mistake and Fields made the mistake. It happens ALL the time. But my question is this, if that was George Pickens, Would have he made the catch. Would he have been quicker. I mean there was plenty of endzone left to keep running instead of slowing down and then jumping. We seen that with Claypool ALL the time.

 

LoL. Pickens maybe makes that catch, but from such a clean pocket before the throw....why make it so hard.....not only was it thrown bad, if You watch the all 22 .....He had half a field to throw him open for a easy pitch, and catch, and it was also late thrown. With all that said....I will repeat for the millionth time.....I want Fields to get better. Im a Steeler fan, and Him getting better is a awesome bonus for us. Not saying You, but people think I hate the kid, and I don't, but I won't bury my head in the sand about what he does

 

1st round busts happen, you can see yearly how many get released early in careers or their 5 year option is not picked up, some become contributors but are not the talent that rated that high of a draft choice. What pisses me off is Colberts last few years of drafting, especially in the 1st round. Beyond TJ there is little to nothing to show for it.

 

Exactly....it's why I said in Ben's last years we lacked the D.....think of all the misses in the 1st round on D during that time. Burns, T. Edmunds, Jarvis Jones, and Bush.....all waste 1st round picks

Lol I don't know that he did in this case just that the back and forth about it being Fields fault no it was the receivers fault reminded me of the Ben/Washington throw. It was a poor throw by Ben and a poor play on the ball by Washington but everyone dumped on the rookie and kinda ho-hummed about Ben's ability to throw deep and on target.

 

ben is an azz. look where that ball landed and where said receiver was running the pattern, it would make no difference if he kept running, there is no way where that ball was coming from that the kid could have caught that unless he change direction to the right. the friggin qb has to lead that receiver that's on a dead run. very simple. dear Lord look at the play where the ball landed, where the receiver was heading and tell me how he was going to turn back the other way in stride and catch that ball. not going to happen ben or anyone else.

 

Sutton will be back in a good time to be back, if Steelers are competitive... and that's a big if.

 

I think he gets the dbl whammy much like other former Steelers have in the past. They look adequate in the 3-4 scheme with Tomlin's Tampa-two variants. However put them in a 4-3 defense with a single high safety or less zone, more man coverage it exposes who they really are and the weaknesses.

 

Ok guys that was me throwing some classic Ben into the argument. I have no idea if Ben had any thoughts on the actual play by Fields. God I need to shake the rust off! My comedic timing is off and timing is everything.

 

He was so bad in Tennessee that even Kenny Pickett went after Edmunds in our win over them.
