    I mean....

Dak's Contract should have been taken care of before the likes of Burrow and Lawrence elected to blow up the QB Market as a whole. Same goes for Lamb; Lamb's case being far worse. That said, I believe the absolute nightmare scenario will befall Dallas should they elect to postpone Micahs for much longer.

If the Jets sign Hasson Reddick to be the highest paid?!.... Dallas may have to kiss either Prescott or Lamb goodbye. Cannot have Micah on the Market.

I think from the beginning it was try to sign 2 out of 3, even if they had signed earlier. Sure it could be done, but trying to sign/retain any other player of note would be nearly impossible. As another post stated Minnesota paying Jefferson when they are not paying a QB does matter, timing always matters, that said Miami paid Waddle and Tua, Hill is nearing the end of his current deal, so we will see how that works. CAP management is an art, you try and fill a quality roster for a window of time. In the end all the things you push down the road come due.

When I see the numbers given to players who have not done much (especially post season) I get a feeling of cringe. Agents are not going to bulk, and for players I get the idea of getting all you can. But the thought of "I have an obligation ot other QB's and teammates' is pure BS. The CBA mandates that a certain % of revenue has to go to the players, the owners don't pocket that change if you make a little less. Im not saying you should accept or expect chump change, but loosen the ego a bit and realize I need protection and receivers to do this job. Getting the 'paid the most' title for a few months might feel good, but a title of being the best lasts a lifetime.

I went out for a bowl of soup and heard it on the radio, wow. I am not trying to be a CAP expert, and without even looking maybe I am daft, but that's a heck of a lot of guaranteed money for 2 wr and a QB. I know the CAP goes up every year, but damn that's a big investment.

It is funny: I was listening to a show of the Best Players in the NFL over 30 and Tyreek Hill was on it. I had to quickly go to Google and find out that, Yeah that is kid of correct as he just turned 30 in March.

This seems fair $30 million for a Top WR that is 30, 31, and 32. Good for the Dolphins for not giving him an Extension, and making him keep the years left on the contract. Too many players out there are wanting to sign contracts that run until their 40.

I predict many voided year in their contract in the future...They would no choice to do this if they want it work....Maybe it will hurt the dolphins in year 2030 but right now they don't care!

cap structures are something always fascinating to me. IDK that much about voidable years and how long they are allowed to extend them out. It seems to me the union would spot this as an issue, players no longer an active part of their union 'taking' money that is a part of those who are active. I understand its all part of the game with numbers, but if I am up for a contract and cant be signed because the current numbers are offsetting someone who has retired I think I would be pissed, lol.

We have to remember the context of the team as well; this is the Dallas Cowboys. More specifically, this is done deliberately by Jerry Jones. Being the Worlds most valuable Sports Franchise doesn't happen overnight; quite a bit of planning and calculated measures have to be taken into account here. To Jerry's credit, much of what he did do for the Cowboys ended up being used by the NFL; his deals with Nike and Pepsi in particular. Now, how does the current coverage of Dallas have anything to do with Jerry?! Answer?! Money... lots of it.

Long story short?! Jerry Jones had orchestrated all of this from the start due in part to the fact that neither the QB nor WR market had ballooned out of control. Now that it has, notice how much the Cowboys are on TV even more than they usually are. As a result, Dallas obtains continual media coverage, which in turn, lines Jerry's pockets a lot more than others are willing to admit.

No doubt, and really the lack of 'much' on field success since their last SB win is a testament to Jerry's ability to still keep the 'boys pertinent. Beause of work i listen to sports radio all week on the road, and between the 'boys and Lakers, they pretty much have the national spotlight.

I would sign Parsons first and foremost, barring injury he is a game changer.
    I hate the Cowboys!

Dak can write his own ticket now...... The BS about Jerry Jones being happy with the development of Trey Lance just went flying out the window.

Trey Lance Baffles NFL Fans with 5 INTs
He went 33-of-49 for 323 yards and a touchdown while adding 90 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. However, he tossed five interceptions and was sacked three times in the 26-19 loss. One of those interceptions came at the end of the fourth quarter when Dallas had a chance to tie the game.

I don't think I have ever seen a QB throw 5 Ints in a preseason game ever.

Wow, another 1 rnd pick that failed miserably. Not a coincidence either, NFL will continue to ruin these youngsters by forcing them to start right out of the gate.
NFL is going to have to change their protocols or this will continue.

The more I think about it, the funnier it becomes... After throwing 5 Ints in a preseason game the coach should have been waiting for Trey Lance on the sideline with his car keys and said.... "Yeah, here are your car keys, you can go home now"., It was crazy, Try Lance was still throwing Ints in the 4th QTR. If those future grocery baggers can get 5 Ints on you, you need to just keep walking.

YEAH, Don't go back to the locker room just hit the parking lot and go home.

and thats the problem with the kid...he only played 1 year in high school as a qb, and only a year and a half as qb in college...in the fcs, against horrible competition. never understood the absolute reach for him at 3...should have never been drafted before the 3rd round, at best
