When it was illegal men downfield or it was holding because he was beaten, it was because of poor coaching for the first and because he was not at his best position for the second.

I'm sure the coaches weren't instructing him to get those dumb penalties when he was with the Steelers, he doesn't get a pass.

Dotson learned a lot more in his first year with the rams under McVay than in the 3 years in Pittsburgh...Coaches like McVay make players very rich and Tomlin costs money for some players (not all of course but for some)

Who cares? The Steelers weren't going to pay him the kind of money he got from the Rams .

You didn't read it all....I didn't say for all the players but for some(I had mentioned it in parentheses at the end but it was ignored:facepalm:.)If Dotson hadn't been traded, he would have had the minimum salary instead of having a rich contract

There is a truth there, but also look at the 2 who surrounded him on the line, Moore and Green were very weak links and committed a lot of errors as well. While each lineman has to be responsible for themselves, having 2 sidecars like them does not help, lol.

Why do players commit penalties? Did he get beat because of poor technique, being in the wrong position, the scheme is too difficult to execute or understand. Alot of it can be on the coach.

Doesn’t discount what was said about the Steelers by another organization. Your comments make no sense.

Smart coaches stay away from areas where they are insufficient. I highly doubt Andy Reid meddles in the defense much. So he brought in one of the top Defensive Coordinators and their defense was one of the best in the league last year. You invest in a OC like Arthur Smith why do you not clean house and let him choose the position coaches. Why was Meyer left to stay?

You don’t know that. College is much different than the NFL.

You are right but his chances of success would be better than playing in a position he has rarely played before.

Ben held the ball most of his career. 2020 we also had different players. Qb can make lines look worse than they are.

Im going to out on a limb and say Tomlin and his staff will need to be overhauled soon. I think they are most of the problem.

I don’t think Tomlin has put it in high gear since the steelers last super bowl appearance.
