Preseason week 2:Bills vs steelers

Such high expectations for a 4 yr qb

 

They have no intermediate to deep threat other than Pickens and occasionally if Austin can shake loose. I fear we are going to see another season of "small ball" unless they have someone on the roster that breaks out and I don't see it. So, although I usually agree with STD on his opinion of running QB's, I didn't see any panic either time when Fields ran. There wasn't anyone open down field and he got what he could.

 

QB like that are not easy to find outside of O'Donnell

 

The flip and flop of RT and LT is not great either.

Have him battle it out with Dan.
Put Dan on the RT spot.
Solidify your starters then talk depth.

I love the "need versatile players" approach but all knows why BJ was drafted and it's not to play RT.

Because by the time He realized the Qb was running, and not going to throw....he was on the wrong side

 

I have no fascination with running QBs but with this oline so far it's there only chance. Lol

 

They probably want Slash back too… at least Steelers at that time figured out he was a better wr than qb

 

I've said this 100 times, but every Wrs, and TE I've ever talked to when not on record hates running their routes, and turn around, and see here comes the Qb

 

This is just a matter of time a running QB win the super bowl....Hurts was close 2 years ago....

I agree with that....Tomlin and the o-line coach deserve the heat for that

Soo.... anything that can go wrong in game two... is going wrong...

 

And this is not the first time they have done this

 

In recent history......Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Cam Newton are the main QBs that are half running back. All 3 have had significant downtime due to injuries.

I can believe it. Spend all of that effort and turn around to catch the ball......and think WTF, my qb is about to pass me! lol

You are correct. If you get enough of them ....just by percentages they will...., but guess what.....if You have enough women playing Qb....they will eventually win a SB also. So....

It looked like his ankle got twisted to me, or some lower leg injury.
