Well, I don't think he will be the starting RT once the season starts. He will battle Moore for the LT spot.

 

It isn't just Fields' mobility that is needed. His superior understanding of being under center is what is required. Russell simply cannot operate under center.


What the likes of Brett Kollmann and EJ Snyder have been saying has been proof positive of that.

Good end of the half drill there. Fields made some nice throws and good decisions. He's looked really good the first two weeks of the preseason so far. If he didn't have the two botched exchanges we might be talking about him winning this job.

I do like what I see out of fields. I just wish I could see him with the starters and against starters.

Good 2 minute drill except for the run up the middle with about 44 seconds remaining. Cost us about 12 seconds on the clock for nothing.

 

Problem is ....twice He ran, and had no reason for it.

 

If this is the best Jones can offer, then they're better off starting Moore and Fautanu.

 

Important for Tomlin to not overreact on the 2 fumbles snap....I mean,this is important to protect the ball but not at all cost!
