It's a team culture issue and it's starts from the top. Seems like the inmates have been running the asylum for a better part of a decade. This stuff never happened or didn't happen consistently under the last two coaches

I want a Hines Ward not a prima donna cry baby. He’s still young so hopefully he will find his way.

Maybe that is all it takes... Make the kid feel important. Make him know that you want him to be as good as he wants to be and find a way to make him the focal point of the passing game. He seems like a kid that wants to be really good, he just needs to harness his passions and frustrations in a more positive way. If the vibes around him are more positive, maybe that makes a difference? Will be interesting to see.

We need his best this year, so I hope it works.

Rare breed. I think every team wants a Hines Ward or Larry Fitzgerald. Sometimes you gotta settle for Terrell Owens, AB, Ochocinco, Randy Moss... etc. This type of behavior is rampant at the WR position.

It does seem like that is the position where it’s most prevalent. Wonder why that is?

Stars rotate counter clockwise when looking at celestial north. And clockwise when looking at celestial south.

So explain how that works on a flat earth?

They'll reply back with... "just because you walk around your neighborhood, does that make it a globe?"

I mean, to be fair, The Flat Earth Society puts is very tongue-in-cheek and is more or less a vehicle for some ironic-post-ironic satire. Like, it's basically just a club for highly educated boomers and/or nerds who enjoy trolling actual flat earthers ;) It's actually quite hilarious, even despite of how low hanging the fruit is amongst the fools that they're satirizing :lolol:

I'm the one who said many people don't realize what makes the globe the globe. But a lot don't know how to read.

Or, it could be the growing pains of being "the guy", in year 3, with new position coaches, coordinators, and QBs.

Could be let’s see how it plays out this season because neither of these QBs are going to be able to get him the ball consistently either.

Sometimes the passion and fire in a player is mistaken for poor attitude. I agree he needs to show signs of maturity in his development. I don't know the full details of his exchange with Azzanni, but I can completely understand his frustration with Pickett and Trubisky last year. As Rooney stated last year after Rudolph finished out the season, we know what the offense can look like with quality QB play. Now that we have a quality QB room this year, maybe Pickens maturity/frustration will change for the better.

Still too soon to tell, but I do think Pickens can straighten out. This blowup with Zach Azzanni is under the microscope after issues of how Pickens handled adversity mid-season the last two years. Now seeing how Pickett seems to be playing out in Philly, this may be evident of his frustration with the anemic offense the last two seasons. If Tomlin was able to reign in AB as everyone now realizes then Pickens may not be hopeless after all.

It must be very hard for a young player to be in a bottom 5 offense after being in a powerhouse team like Georgia for a few years....He need to control his emotion better but at the same thing he was right to have frustraction at time....I hope it was because of that

For sure. The issue is that whenever George is upset, he is "visibly" upset. He wasn't able to brush his emotions under the rug and be a professional because he is young and emotional. Now that Azzani and Smith have been here for a bit and he's starting to buy into the fact that he is an appreciated and main focus of the offense, he won't have as much to be upset about. Only time will tell.

Yeah, it's so hard for Pickens he had over 1,000 yards receiving with crappy QB play last season. He also led the league in YPC, don't act like Pickens put up big numbers at Georgia .
