FYI. Aiyuk was wearing a Black and White shirt at practice, nothing Red.

I still think JuJu lands back in KC, and goes for another Super Bowl Ring.

Yes, Mason Rudolph made a good throw between two defenders and Johnson did the rest.

Of course Lamb would cost more than Aiyuk... Lamb is also a top 3 or 4 receiver in the league and still quite young.. I'd be more than happy if the Steelers had the opportunity to pay his salary, however high it may be. He's a game changer. I'd rather pay him top 5 money than pay Dak top 5 money if I were the Cowboys.

Yes, fake news. Bleacher Report stated an hour ago that Kyle Shanahan said that there is nothing new with the Aiyuk situation but they do have some encouraging signs with Trent Williams and his contract demands.

    Got me too!
I vowed to pay no attention until something concrete happened. Thought it did!
I don’t think that the Niners really want to trade Aiyuk. Their asking price is just too high. If the Steelers have Aiyuk but lose Muth, I don’t think that improves the team.
I bet they sign a veteran to a one year, and draft a receiver in 25. They (historically) have an extraordinary knack for finding good receivers in middle rounds, though I don’t know if that will still hold.

Do you think Aiyuk's value will go up or down once the season starts? If he remains unsigned.

First I was thinking down, and then I thought what would the Steelers being offering the 49ers if they lost Pickens in week 1?

At a guess, I would think up. There is bound to be a receiver somewhere who goes down with an injury and is out for the year. A team may overpay under those circumstances if they see themselves as contenders.

Aiyuk is not unsigned. He's under contract with the 9ers. If a team was to lose a wr during the season and call them, I can only imagine the price for him would be even steeper than it is right now. They hold the cards. At least most of them. They don't have to trade him. His only 2 options are to play out his contract or sit out the season. We all know how that worked out for Le'Veon Bell.

Not so fast. I’ll actually be glad when it is finally over. I would definitely like to see Cee Dee Lamb come to the Steelers though.

Exactly. He just didn’t seem like a great fit for our style of play especially the new offensive system. They want high effort and blocking. Selfless play from the WR. I think they think they can still mold George. It would have been much harder to mold two guys.

49ers lose a guard to a broken finger........

I still say James Daniels and a 3rd round pick will bring Aiyuk to the Steelers.

Could Mason McCormick be the next man up????

LOL... You can have your cake and eat it too.

ESPN reporting The 49ers have agreed to a trade with the Steelers and are still working on contract extension with Aiyuk.... Can the 49ers do both????? :)

Newsflash: The deal is done! Brandon Aiyuk is coming to Pittsburgh! Or, he might stay with the 49ers if they can get a deal done. The 49ers are desperate to trade him unless they can keep him. The 49ers want him off their roster unless he wants to stay. Insiders say Aiyuk is set to join the Black-n-Gold, but he might stay with the 49ers. This is getting old.......

Actually, Scheftler's latest report is that Aiyuk will be shared by both teams and sign two contracts close to $60 million/yr total. There are 7 weeks where the teams do not play on the same day, so Aiyuk will play 2 games those weeks. The other ten weeks, Aiyuk will play for SF through November 10 and the Steelers after November 10. Since he will be playing 24 games, incentives are be added to his contracts for leading the league in TDs, receptions, and yards. If the teams meet in the Super Bowl, the coin toss will also include deferring Aiyuk to the second half.

Ernie Stautner had a compound fracture of his thumb and never missed a play.
