2024 steelers training camp

no injuries is what i'm hoping for in this game. not expecting too much. a lot of backups trying to make the team. waiting to see some of these backup RB's. depth on the line. cook and anderson. frazier and mccormick. lee on the d-line. young DB's. LB'ers. at least it resembles steeler football.

 

So now to salvage Leal he is now going to play some OLBer. My guess he will be a camp cut or possibly practice squad at this point.

I want to see zero injuries in tonight's game.

This. And he's staring at him the entire time. I'm hoping for the best here but these clips don't show anything other than an NFL QB can throw a ball. I could throw a ball 50 yards when I was younger. BFD.

 

Let's hope the full schedule is played in shorts with zero pass rush and the secondary trying not to get hurt because Fields is on fire in those situations.

Payton Wilson. Read a nice article on him but stopped when I saw the injury word. Don't follow NCAA but from what I read this guy was a bad MoFo in College. Didn't want to know about the negative side but I'm assuming if he kicked ass in College it can't be to bad.???????????

 

He only has one ACL. The other was injured and it's gone. There were some serious shoulder issues, too. That said, his last two years he was healthy and he was very good, especially last season. He's a risk but in the mid rounds there's some huge upside potential. And, yes, you can play without an ACL. Many guys have including Hines Ward.

I missed Bill Hillgrove after watching him do Steelers games on KDKA channel 2 for the last 30 years. Bob Pompeani and Charlie Batch do a good job but it just wasn't the same without Bill.

 

Rob King is the new Hillgrove. Interested to see how that goes. He's been a part of the Pittsburgh sports scene for 25 years now.

Yeah you can. Because it resets to 0 when the season starts. I'd rather watch us lose all 3 of our preseason games and win week 1 than to look like studs in the preseason (like last year) only to have none of it transfer over to the actual real season.

I may be wrong, but pompeani and Batch have been doing preseason steeler games for years, before Batch was a former D lineman (I forget). I cant recall Bill ever doing TV for Steelers.
