    agreed.

so - 2 bad exchanges b/t C and QB derailed the first 2 possessions. that and a pass that should have been challenged, that was not. i don't make too much of it. Fields threw a few nice balls. Pickens looked in Beast Mode and Van Jefferson showed some separation ability.

It was the Texans, by the way. The didn't SUCK last year.

OLINE is a hard work in progress. HARD. How Frasier is not #1 ALL DAY and EVERY day, I won't understand Tomlin on this, but I rarely understand Tomlin.

Given how well Frazier handled himself against the likes of a Playoff Caliber Defense, I believe that Frazier will fast track himself to start heading into 2024 a lot sooner. Nate Herbig isn't a Center by trade anyways. He has experience but not to the degree that Frazier possesses. In addition, just because someone learns from a HOF player like Jason Kelce doesn't mean that alone will guarantee success.

This is important that the turnovers are not are of the control but at the same time,we need some production on offense too. Can't handcuff an offense, that's the worst thing to do....I'd rather be top 10 in offense and be in the middle in turnovers than be bottom 5 in offense and be top 5 with the least turnovers like the steelers last year when Pickett was our QB...Production matters too...I mean, the back to back super bowl champions have had a turnover differential in the last 2 years...

I do expect that Frazer will be the day one starter.

I also don't blame Herbig for Fumbles Fields 2 gaffs. He did this several times in the 3 years in Chitown.

Let's see Russ take snaps this week. Then we will have something to actually compare.

According to the NFL Network, Tomlin stated today that he still isn't sure if Wilson will be ready to play this week.

38 fumbles in 3 years. Lost 11. Not all were center exchange. He has a fumbling issue.

I am just going to keep beating my Dead Horse. If Tomlin Challenges the Fields to Van jefferson....

    2nd & 6 at HOU 36
    (2:21 - 1st) (Shotgun) J.Fields pass incomplete short right to V.Jefferson (K.Boyd).

Fields would have been perfect 6/6 and the Steelers would have been looking at 1st and 10 from the Houston 24 yard line.

You throw in 3 more completions, 1 to the endzone for a TD and Justin Fields walks away with a perfect 9/9 97 yards and 1 TD. for a 148.61 passer rating

Yeah I keep reading on here what a disastrous outing that Fields had but he completed all 6 passes that he threw. I thought that he hung tough in the pocket and looked really good throwing the ball.

He had a Guard snapping the ball to him so it's Justin's fault. Or something.

It's really amazing when you think about it that Tomlin has NEVER improved on challenges in the 18 years he's been a HC. They need to have someone else on their coaching staff take over the challenge duties, hopefully someone that has a higher football IQ than Tomlin.

There's a funny thing about fumbles and turnovers; they are worth an average of about 4 1/2 pts for the recovering team. So Fields has given his opponents almost a 100 pts in the last two seasons with his fumbling habits. Doing some maths, that is about half the TDs he has scored in the last two seasons. He's his own worst enemy.

It’s not a problem. I’ve watched quite a bit of Fields, QB’s fumble snaps. I can’t even recall any but I’m sure they happened. Can’t recall Ben’s fumbled snaps either but they happened.

Fields had 10 fumbles last season, his least amount of fumbles. Right in line with other running QB’s, Jackson 11, Hurts, 9 and Allen who surprisingly had the least amount of running QB’s, 7.

Outside of the snaps, Fields had a solid day. The biggest thing with Fields is consistency, I’m more concerned with that. I’m not worried about a couple snaps in preseason.

Steelers have 3 mediocre QBs. It's the 90's all over again.

Strong possibility but thats why I want them to go with Fields so they know going into the draft what they need to do.

Wilson isnt the future and just hoping he turns back the clock to lead them to a SB this year. Not likely.

If we can still make the AFC title game 3 times and a super bowl once,I will take this opportunity with pleasure.Just hope the QB doesn't choke big time this time like in 1995 and 1997 too!

This is what gives me hope, he really hasn’t had any good coaching until now. See if Arth can correct his flaws.

Does anyone know the size of Field's hands? I hope he doesn't have baby hands like KFP
