Of course it's ridicules, as is making a call on a player based on one game. I don't think Aiyuk is the best WR in the league, but holds his own among the best. One stat that stans out is being top in % of completeion that lead to either 1st down or TD., and near the top for receptions for the number of times he was targeted. On a team loaded with weapons, if he was targeted as much as Hill he very well could be over 2000 yd receiver. Do i think he is worth 34 million. no, but in this market 28 to 30 is not unreasonable to ask.

Ssshhh some of the youngsters on the board are going to ask what a septic tank is and we really don't want to be talking about this sh*@.

I never made a call based on one game. I said it further solidified my already made opinion.

You and another person said that I did, and it isn't true.

I've responded to this thread many times, even before catching the SB replay yesterday. I felt the Aiyuk trade/contract possibility for the Steelers wasn't worth it before rewatching the SB. Watching that simply reaffirmed my previous opinion. Again, for the 3rd or 4th time now, I've watched many other games that the guy played in and already formed my opinion before watching the SB replay.

My opinion is Brandon Aiyuk isn't worth elite WR money and is not a solution to the Steelers ultimate success. I'm aware of his production and his talent. I've watched quite a few of his games. He's never even been a pro bowler. My opinion is he is a product of the 49ers offensive scheme and talent, Brock Purdy and Kyle Shanahan, to a greater extent than others.

Many on here think Tomlin is a better coach than Kyle because he won a SB 20 years ago so just imagine what BA would do here!!

Now there is some rumor about a 3 way trade with another team. Khan doesn't want to give up any players and thats what the 9ers want to help them this season so if another team has the players they want and they will trade with them they will send them the picks from us :lolol:

You can see by my sarcasm I don't want Aiyuk. This drama garbage makes my skin crawl. And giving away any picks in 2025 to me would be a mistake let alone paying him 30 mill a season with plenty of guaranteed money.

I am pretty sure that is what caused the big fight on the sideline. Russ called an audible at the line of scrimmage to check out of a play Sean Payton had called.

I remember Ben doing that constantly in the 4th QTR his last year with Matt Canada.

That's what I was worried about with this trade taking so long the proposed deal would fall through, Khan you had one job.

If this was going to happen it would probably be done by now. I think the most likely outcome is that he plays for SF this season and re-signs there next offseason when they figure their cap situation out

As exciting as it would have been to see Aiyuk in Black & Gold, the trade was probably overkill on the Steelers side. Pickens is good and personally I’d like to see him get a shot as the main man, what they are missing is a dependable #2. It’s not too late to bring someone else in

I bet the 49ers soft tanked his leaving. They said he could go, but then they asked for draft capital that they knew nobody would give up. That forces Aiyuk to stay in SF for another year and perhaps sign for less?
