PRESEASON Week One vs. Houston Texans

Wow, I remember wanting Cam Akers so much when he came out of college. I always wondered where he went off to.

 

maybe for Danny Smith but the o-line coach is trash...Just ask to Kevin Dotson,Greene and Okafor

Kenny Pickett is not that good....1 TD pass,yes on a easy throw and decision but only 72 yards on 16 pass attempts....

 

The one thing I can say after watching the first half...... Zach Frazier welcome to the starting lineup.

 

This showing is disappointing. We still have a long way to go ... smh

If the radio is to be believed, Tomlin apparently said Kyle Allen will remain QB during this game, unless he scores a TD, implying that Fields' playing again tonight is conditional upon a 3rd string QB, I guess? Lolzzzz.

 

So, the coaching staff messed around in training camp with different combinations of o-line guys and it showed. There needs to be some continuity or it's going to take half the season for them to gel and that simply can't happen. They drafted o-line for a reason. Imo, those guys need to be getting reps together.

 

With all the personnel and coaching changes, it still feels like the same Steelers. Wonder why that is?

 

I love how that's always a hold except against TJ!

The second half of last season they averaged 145 yards a game rushing, there will be growing pains trying to get all of these young guys ready to play.

what about the first half of the season???

Last 2 years,the running game were poor in the first half of the season,solid after that....Can't start bad again with our schedule and the o-line need some stability

 

They're showcasing Austin to include him in the Aiyuk trade package

 

I would agree with this. Continuity is key.
