I would offer the 49ers a choice of Moore or Daniels, plus a conditional 3rd round pick. If the Steelers make it to the AFCCG the pick becomes a 2nd round pick. If the Steelers make it to the Super Bowl the pick becomes a 1st round pick.

Thats exactly my point. I really believe Pickens is the better talent. I would be very intrigued to see how Pickens would perform with Aiyuk as his running mate. At the end of the day it all comes down to will one of our QB’s be good enough to take advantage of all of this talent?

Daniels and a second and a third in 2026 would be more than fair in my mind.

Okay I think I have had enough following the drama. Wake me up when it’s over. I am way too invested.

I don't think Aiyuk is worth a second day pick.

I'd do it if we were in SB contention, but this is a team in transition.

We have been in transition, while I am not convinced we are near in the top tier, I also do not believe we are conference or divixion bottom dwellers. On paper out D looks pretty awesome, can the O under Smith's system be top 12 to 15 and takes us into a deep playoff run? With Aiyuk they certainly are a better team, the QB play will determine how far we can go.

Maybe the steelers are higher on Wilson or Fields that most of us?

he is worth at LEAST a #2.

that was stated back in April.

we suck at WR and Pickens is a head case.

    you are welcome.

Pickens and Aiyuk on the roster THIS SEASON changes some conversations.......for this entire board. that is assuming baby Pickens can at least act like a teen-ager.

Wilson can win here - with the talent around him + Aiyuk.

    Khan knows this.

They were higher on Kenny Pickett than most NFL teams 2 years ago too.
Pittsburgh's QB evaluation track record since drafting #7 has pathetic to put it mildly.
Wilson is a has been and Fields is a never was at this point.
QB play/position is this teams biggest question mark, not WR.

well - a certain NAIVE HC was with an ignorant on his way out GM and an OC who was clueless.

    Lets be real.

    Tomlin is guilty as charged.

Head Coach is the BIGGEST question mark, has been for years.

I don't think there is any real hidden meaning in anything with these QB's. We had to do something, Wilson was a no brainer, Fields cost us very little. Going forward is or might be the tricky part. If Wilson plays even half way decent, how much do you really want to invest in an aging QB? The talent may actually be good enough to get you through a couple of years, if he is willing to take a deal like TB gave Baker, then you are competitive and can still get out of it quickly. Fields is another story, I personally am not comfortable seeing a quarter or third of a season of starts and having to make a decision like GB made with Love, but that;s where we might be.

Well of course not. We need to ADD a receiver. Not swap one.

Makes no sense trading Pickens and them not wanting to trade Muth either just confirms they have big plans for him in this offense.

I agree with this - said another way, if we kept next years 2nd and drafted a WR, would we find someone that would be Aiyuk’s equal. I’m comfortable with a swap like that (maybe throwing in a player, but not Pickens or Muth).

I recognize we would have to sign Aiyuk to a big contract, but we aren’t really carrying anyone on offense with a huge cap hit.

I personally think there is no way that Pickens and Aiyuk could coexist. Pickens will begin to pout the moment the deal is made, if it happens. Maybe they will end up trading Pickens to Philadelphia to be reunited with Kenny Pick it, and end up with another JPJ type deal.
