2024 steelers training camp

Trading James Daniels is no different than that San Fran reporter wanting the Steelers to trade Broderick Jones; asinine.


No thanks.

 

James Daniels is on the last year of his Veteran contract and will not be a Steeler in 2025. Big Difference than Jones on his 2nd year of his cheap rookie contract; 3 years remaining on the contract including the option year.

 

My point pertains to the fact that losing two quality starters on the Offensive Line isn't ideal. Contractually speaking?! No debate there.


Now, if Spencer Anderson has done such an outstanding job that the Steelers will be comfortable enough to trade James?! That is entirely different. That said, I haven't read or seen anything from the Steelers brass to indicate such.

 

How the 3 new offensive linemen looking in camp so far ?

 

Good report. Interesting about Fields. Within my extended family there seems to be a shift towards Fields if only that he is in his prime.

 

I saw reports on it as well.

 

So what's the plan for Friday night? Is Wilson getting the start or is he going to sit out as a precaution and Fields will get the start?

 

Seems unlikely Wilson would start given his limited reps and coming off the calf strain…. Doubt he plays at all.

 

I fully expected to see Jack Colletto as the starting FB, and not Connor.

 

i'd like to see all the starters sit the bench in this one.

 

Maybe Fields in the first half and Kyle Allen in the second. Plumlee might even get some playing time late in the game.

 

I am sure it will be 2-3 drives max for Fields on friday

Yeah I just saw that on ESPN. Fields will play a couple of series according to Tomlin and then we will see a whole lot of Kyle Allen.

 

Seems like just a placeholder. His testing numbers leave a lot to be desired.

 

Yeah a 31" vertical leap and a 5.27 forty, that's really bad.

 

i saw he ran a 4.73 40. special teamer would be his best spot. we seem to be shoring those positions up. maybe because of the kick off rules coming. i believe they had an open spot on the roster with injury cuts.

 

Roman Wilson was at practice today without the boot or brace on his ankle. Seems like a good sign he’s coming along nicely.

 

He will sit, possibly a few snaps nothing extensive.
