I said this before if SF wins this it should give Pittsburgh all the more reason to push for the 7th and reclaim the lombardi lead sooner than later! I will never cheer on the enemy the Ravens... Pittsburghs most intense rival to date (some argue's the Browns but that gig is nostalgia)

And I said this before if Buck Faltimore wins, it gives us two chances and maybe 3 to kick their ass on our way to #7 next year. Then the next time we miss the playoffs the 49'ers can win their 6th

I'm not backing the purple pukes in this game, so the 9ers tie us at six, we got there first, and if it's such a big deal maybe the steelers will quit playing like cleveland and get off their dead asses and make a run for that 7th ring, just maybe this will motivate them so I dont have to watch another 8-8 season in disgust..........

I'm rooting for the Ratbirds I can live with them having 2 Superbowl wins they will never catch the Steelers. I live in Northern California in 49ers country don't want them to get their #6 Superbowl.

Can't we just kick their asses 2 or 3 times next year without them being SB champs? I'd take just as much pleasure beating them if they haven't won the SB and be much happier knowing they only have 1 ring doing it.

Putting aside the fact I couldn;t bear to see the Ravens win... as I've said before, I'm rooting for the 9ers because they are a far better team. The Ravens were not the best team in the AFC this year. Their record flattered them. The 49ers play better and harder football.

It's not just N. CA. Down here in So. CA. it's almost as bad. whenever the 9ers become relevant, ( it's been 18 years now), a bunch of people put their bongs down long enough to claim that they've been fans since Brodie was QB.
I don't know how to do it, and would be concerned about copywrite infringement and all but, instead of Alicia Keys singing at the beginning of the game, I propose a different song. Any of you who have seen the South Park movie will remember a beautiful song that Cartman sang about Kyle's mom. Substitute "9ers coach" for "Kyle's Mom" and everyone can sing that instead!

I could care less who wins. I don't even want to watch it. Probably won't.

I'm DVRing the first season of Walking Dead on AMC. Everyone seems to love that show so I should give it a shot. Might watch that instead.

Watching either team hoist the trophy will sicken me.

I hope they play 12 quarters to a 0-0 tie and say F..it....Nobody is the 2012 SB Champ...Dont think that will happen so...I have to root for the Rats.(Barf... Just threw up in my mouth.)...Dont want to see SF get a 6th and we can always take solace in knocking the Rats asses off next year.

Root against the 49ers getting 6 or root against the Rats...Tough choice, but I need to be able to sleep tonight. I'm rooting against the Rats, not for the 49ers, but against the Rats.

He's got you there. It's pretty hypocritical when you think about it. Unless by your double negative ("Dont never") you mean we CAN question your loyalty.

Either way, I compare thisto the guy who claimed it would have been better for Pitt to lose vs. Cleveland to get a better draft position. No it isn't. Nothing is worth losing to the Browns and nothing is worth cheering for the Ratbirds. Just my opinion and we are all entitled to them. Go Steelers!

NOT a good SB for this Steeler fan...I will say it this way...I would prefer San Fran. to LOSE(to preserve Steelers record of 6 rings).Either way...once the game is over...I WILL NOT BE WATCHING ANY POST GAME SHOWS. Side Note:A little joy knowing that N.England didn't make it.

wait , losing to the browns could have give us a 12 pick and nothing to them , rats win give them the sb ...big difference the browns would have no gained anything for the win in pittsburgh especially if you had put on the field batch and the scrubs ..

I was in San Francisco in a sports bar watching XLIII. Everyone in the room was rooting against us. After we won, a bunch of Niners fans were looking at me in my Big Ben jersey saying, "At least we're the only team to win at least 5 and never lose one."

I'd really like to put an end to that.

Don't remind me, the rats shouldn't even be here, lucky, just like their whole season.

Okay, I looked at this thread when it was first posted and just come up with a civil response. But, since most of you have said exactly how I feel, I will just say there is not a single scenario where I would be rooting for the ravens. Ever.
