Not a big Olympic person but wife just watched opening ceremonies. As for me the French metal band, Gojira was the highlight. Pretty badass them atop big ass Paris building with a bunch of beheaded Marie Antoinettes below them.

I've seen conflicting stories about how much Henley added to the song - some say he tweaked the lyrics and others say Campbell wrote the music and Henley wrote ALL the lyrics. Elton/Taupin? Lennon/McCartney? Doesn't matter to me - that was a great song IMHO and great music period in the mid 80's. :thumbs up:

I totally agree. It's just I didn't know any of that, and it surprised me.

After watching Rollers and Strummer's tributes to John Mayall saw this video when he was performing at age 85/86 in 2019. I only watched the first song so far but it goes on for 38 minutes. What a true blue rocker at that age. RIP Sir - job so well done! :thumbs up:

This and "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails are my 2 favorites about that drug. I like Cash's version too.

Off topic. Seems the hype is growing for Justin Fields. I don't know guy, I may just watch "From" on gamedays.

Here's an interesting take - "If SRV covered Hotel California". It's neither the Eagles nor SRV but a very tasty rendition.

How could the 2024 season start without this classic:) This was written when the Steelers were bad ass MoFo's in the NFL!

Yeah this is the wrong place, but the dim bulbs rarely stick their heads in here.

    takeaways from last night.
Fields looked good, granted it was a preseason game. Fautanu looked okay. Spencer Anderson looked okay, but did give up a sack. Loved his heady play on a quick out to Pickens. He was smart enough not to reach out and get called for a hold. Took a few extra steps and managed to get his body in front of defender. McCormick looked good. Herbig not so much. Significant downgrades when you can’t complete cq exchange. Pickens was Pickens. Loved seeing wide receivers schemed open. Also loved seeing play action utilized again. Watts and Trice both made a play or two. Adams had a good game. Leal had a good game. Robinson is a liability in coverage. Wilson was everywhere.Considering all of the changes on offense I would say overall it was fine. Lots to clean up, but that’s to be expected. I couldn’t care less about the final score or any score in a preseason game.

and to keep it on topic
