Apparently they took him off on a cart. Hopefully it’s not as bad as that may seem. He was running the jet sweep in 7 shots.

Yeah, brutal. Fingers crossed it’s not too bad and the cart was just being cautious.

Justin Fields could be explosive. He still has a bit to go as a passer, but the idea of having a run-first attack with an explosive back and a QB who can deal some serious damage with his legs is super appealing. The league is built to try to match up with and stop offenses like KC, Miami, LA Rams, Detroit, SF and teams like the Ravens, Eagles and (maybe) us could exploit that with the right type of player at the QB position. Justin could turn into another Hurts/Jackson style player and help us put points up on the board finally. Pair that with an excellent defense and we might have the makings of a team built to win in the post season.

Its only a few practices of course, so we don't want to get ahead of ourselves... but the early returns show a lot of promise. It would be awesome if he plays well enough to earn the job.

Hey I think that is when my 84 year old sister is going. Huge rah rah Steeler fan. She has never been and they live close I think . Ligonier to Latrobe? Bucket list for her. I got to find out. If so I'll tell her to look for a very cute little girl. On second thought I best not. If she saw that little lady in that Steeler outfit she would smother her to death.;)

We all know Fields can run, what i think we all are hoping for (even his doubters) is that he can work on reading defenses and quickly working through his progressions. Im hoping Arthur Smith's offense helps him develop in these deficiencies that are his weaknesses. He has all the talent in the world as far as strong arm, big, strong, and fast that it would really benefit the Steelers if they found their young QB with a 6th or 4th round pick given up. Ideally, more so than Russell Wilson who is 35 yrs old and on the downside of his career. Just like you said, if he can put points on the board aswell as scramble for 1st downs when in a 3rd and short/long, its really going to benefit our defense in keeping them fresh and allowing our front 7 to pin their ears back and attack the QB.

I agree with your thought process. Fields could be that type player but can't see him being as good as Hurts/Jackson. Russell Wilson turns back the clock he could do this but that stupid clock never stops ticking. I'm not a fan of this type offense but just want W's!! Should Wilson go down I believe we will see what you are talking about.

Funny, Russell Wilson looks like I'll mess you up man and Justin Fields reminds me of Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hill Cops when he was acting as a person with herpe simplex 16;)

No idea to question but 100% sure we will see both of them.

Hate to burst your Fields bubble but there is another QB in the AFCN that is a consistent 0.7K+ runner and he hasn't done much in the post season. And his accuracy is better than Fields.

I agree. I hope he makes it impossible for them to keep him on the bench. Just camp so far but he’s doing well. We’ll see how that carry’s over to preseason games.

 The Jet Sweep of Death. Did Canada sneak in disguised and change the play?

Heard that. Solid outing! Time to end this Dan Moore fallacy and keep him on the right and Jones on the left. The future.

The Jet Sweep. Is that play ever going to go away; I hate that play.

Now more desperation builds for us doing something stupid to bring in a WR.

Nobody has ever won a Super Bowl with a running QB, and the Ravens have provided their media-driven “MVP” running QB with an unbelievable support system. I sure hope Fields can develop his understanding of the passing game enough to be the guy who breaks that mold, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
