Good thing the steelers have a caliber WR coach but I don't know how Pickens will respond to that.It could be great or it could be ugly in the next few week and in the season

George Pickens needs to grow the f*ck up. Why do we always end up with Diva's for recievers?

I predict this is the last year with us for Pickens...He will be traded after this year

    Sh*t for brains.

Sign a BIG TIME WR NOW and move on from this clown after this year. OR just TRADE PICKENS for a TALENTED WR w BRAINS now!

This is why this cat fell to us. He should have been a Day 1 draft pick - most in the league knew he had LITTLE upstairs.....

The best case scenario for us,this is Pickens has a big year and after that we can trade him when his value will be at his highest!

It was a error for Tomlin to play him vs bengals last year despite his monster game....short term gain, yes but it could hurt the steelers in the long run

Like the OP stated; could go either way for Pickens. However, this confrontation alone between Azzanni and Pickens isn't the major factor moving forward here. What is important is who will emerge as the teams number two receiver?!

Roman Wilson has been on record stating he enjoys Azzanni himself. Calvin Austin III feels the same way. Van Jefferson is the vet and will get first crack. All that said, still a lot to be decided there. How does Azzanni have anything to do with this?!

Whomever shows up and shows out the most for him will likely position themselves up for the spot. As noted before, Azzanni is a throwback; something this WR Room needs in the worst way. Given whom he has worked with (Garrett Wilson, Emmanuel Sanders, DeMaryius Thomas, Cortland Sutton and even Antonio Brown) in addition to this Run Heavy Offense, he has shown to get the most out of his players through tough love.

Here is hoping George Pickens can take these lessons and grow from them. Contrary to what others think, George's freakshow capabilities are an essential part towards making Arthur Smiths Offense work given the decreased priority of WRs and the increased amount instead to the Tight Ends.

Remember the overt conflict between HOF Jim Leyland and Barry Bonds? They quickly patched things up and became best of friends even though Bonds soon headed out to the left coast where he focused on mind expansion.

You needed a separate thread just for this when it's already posted in the training camp thread?

This stuff happens all the time. Brady vs. McDaniels is a good example. Probably not a big deal at all.

yes, he is. this is his last year , that is my bet.

he cannot keep his head about him

we have seen it time and time and time again.

we will have LOTS of $$. We will rebuild this WR corps soon.....maybe VERY soon, like next 30-60 days!

Little premature to be kicking the guy out the door. What if he has a relatively drama free 2024 campaign and puts up monster numbers?

As long as he gives it his all and doesnt quit on plays, I can handle a little drama if the production warrants it.

Imagine if they dumped AB after his confrontation with LeBeau and Clark and some of the others.

The majority of what this guy posts is negative stuff meant to reinforce how many issues the Steelers have. And to cause conflict between Steelers fans.

Hell I've been saying that since he's been here. Yet He will break His freaking neck to defend Andy Reid, and Lamar Jackson. Weird Steelers fan if You ask me.

I can see it being his last year, but right now (even with his flaws) there are very few in the league with his natural ability. We are very thin at WR, you can't replace him with more junk and expect much.
