Imagine trading for a player who don't report to your training camp because of the contract.....

 

He had no leverage....

 

These owners want an 18 game schedule, multiple international games each season, games on at least 3 days a week, it is going to cost more money.

Pretty soon we are going to see teams lining up with only TEs and RBs pre-snap so they don't have to pay WR salaries.

 

What will eventually happen....will be the market will be reset on Wrs....just like it was years ago on RBs. For every single player that wants to hold out.....there are thousands of players each, and every year that will play for what the team is offering.

 

But then you don't get the best players. The reset on running backs happened in response to the greater focus on the passing game. I don't see that happening foe WRs

 

So, you are saying Tomlin got ahead of the curve by hiring Arthur Smith. The Steelers could be the first team to use a 2-QB offense, where the defense doesn't know which QB will be passing the ball. We may see the first "triple lindy play" ever by two QBs. Wilson takes the snap, pitches to Fields who runs around the end, throws it backwards across the field back to Wilson, who throws it deep to Fields for a 75-yard TD, as the fans eyeballs roll to the back of their heads.

 

It will. Mark my words. I didn't say tomorrow,,but it will happen. The same was said for Rbs, and other positions.

 

Almost like the Ben to Ward(who played college Qb) back to Ben , and deep, or the Ben to A. Randle EL( who also played college Qb) to Ward.

 

Well I will mark your words!!!

 

Never a good thing but at least he will be ready for week 1

 

Decent chance he deals with well into the season

Looks like it happened. He was good early on and really liked him as a Steeler but then injuries and untimely fumbles spelled his doom. I'm sure someone will pick him up or he may call it quits.

Terrible news for the Vikings, they have to go into the season now with Sam Darnold and Nick Mullens.
