You made the claim. You are refusing to back it up, so don't bother. You already lost the argument.

It provides numbers for things we already know, so that doesn't change the argument at all. The wait-and-see approach could leave them shorthanded, as it is doing at receiver this year, or spending more resources on the position than they would have had to if they had just picked up the option.

But hey, with that glut of running backs who are mediocre or worse ready to hit free agency, they can play the scrap heap at running back next year just as they did at receiver this offseason. Exciting stuff!

It seems you have that difficulty in comparison to quite a few posters. Keep working. Maybe you'll get there.

Bring on Anthony Mcfarland then!!!! :) Say what you want, but Najee is out there every week putting up numbers adding to his total yards rushing, and 99% of the feature backs in the NFL can't say that.

And how many of those have rushed for over 1,000 in every year for the last 3 years..... ZERO.

Eventually someone is going to notice that Najee is starting to put together a HOF career. He goes for over 1,000 yards again this season people will scratch their head and ask why is Najee playing for the Bengals next year, and 15 years later, they will pound their head into a brick wall when Najee enters the HOF as a Bengal.

HOF career - NEVER in this lifetime, sorry Brice. Slow, poor vision, best years behind him. What people see is utterly amazing......

Brice's contention that Harris is going to the Hall of Fame was silly, but best years behind him? Harris just had his best season. With the upgraded play-calling and hopefully improved play at quarterback and the offensive line, Harris could easily have his best season in 2025.

HOF? That’s funny. He is better than probably 75% or more of the board is giving him credit for though.

Many backs have several good years and then fall off. It happens all the time. Those hits and carries add up over time. Nobody is saying najee is a bad running back. Maybe they are banking on signing him but they want to see where he is after 4 years and a heavy load before they invest. I don't know that for sure and neither does anyone else. Omar will make that call when he's ready I guess.

Call me crazy, but I like my chances this year. I really think Arthur Smith will turn Najee into his next Derrick Henry.

If he looks good after this season, he's probably going to cost more than $7 million and it will probably take more than a one-year commitment, which would be a bad idea after four years of a heavy workload. The one-year deal at a reasonable rate wasn't a bargain, but it was the best option.

I do, too, but it was odd to say a guy's best years are behind him when he is coming off a career year and heading into what could be a better one.

After year five, however, I'd be willing to bet his best years will be behind him.

I'm curious to see how they split the carries. Harris carried the ball 156 more times than Warren last season, so it's not like it is an even split.
