The injury of Shazier was a major problem but even before this injury, the defense was starting to have problems, like giving easy long TDs because of blown coverage (remember the game vs packers without Rodgers) our red zone defense and run defense were either poor or below average

These were problems that could be fixed but were never resolved.

Congratulations. You got a response. Now go up from the basement and show your mother. She will be so proud.

Once you are done with that, perhaps you could post something relevant to the topic. Thanks.

They had issues and Shazier's unique skillset was helping them cover for some of them. They had nobody who could even come close to doing what he did for that defense.

He didn’t get 22 million. Ultimately what he got over 2 years was 14 million.

You think they're the only team to ever be overconfident for a game ?

They kicked the Steelers ass earlier that season, and almost beat New England so they were AFCCG good.

I recall that secondary not being good, it wasn't going to be fixed it was a personnel problem.

The Jags had the lead in the 4th quarter against the Pats IIRC.

It happen too often for the steelers under Tomlin....It was also a problem last year during the week vs Cardinals....Players like Warren and Johnson admitted that the Steelers took the cards lightly, only to lose to another 2-10 team 4 days later...

I chose that game so you can understand context, yeah they lost but the reason was the 5 turnovers not coaching decisions.

Players just make excuses to the media, and you believe all of it . The Cardinals also beat the Eagles and Cowboys last season .

The eagles were a true dumpster fire at the end of the season and for the cowboys,Mike McCarthy is far to be a elite HC.And very rare we see players admitting things like that, so it wasn't nothing what they said

    WAY too often.

Tomlin = style over substance. The Cardinals games was a COMPLETE JOKE!

Rudolph saved Tomlin's HIDE! We were heading to a 7 game losing slide.

It was the worst thing about Mason's success.....

I seem to remember a Bill Cowher team that was already looking forward to a SB before getting beat by the NE Pats in the AFC Championship

Sorry to hear about your mother. Mine died eight years ago and my wife is about to lose hers any day now, so I know that pain may fade a little, but it never goes away. The comment was a joke made with know knowledge of your mother, but apparently, you have misplaced your sense of humor.

That said, this disagreement hasn't been a one-way thing. Don't go whining and calling me a bully now just because my jab was better than yours. You poke and prod, then can't handle it when you get a response you don't like.

I don't care what you think you have accomplished in the world. I could make up something and suggest that in your career you mistreat the people you deal with, or mistreated them in the past if you are retired, but I wouldn't sink that low. You just did when you implied that I would bully my students. I'm not offended because I know I would never disrespect a student that way. You are just lashing out because you are angry. Perhaps you should consider that as you continue to think about this exchange. Have a lovely day.

The 2001 Pats beat the greatest show on turf in the super bowl....A offense with 4-5 HOF who is crazy in the salary cap era.Of course a offense with Kordell Stewart as QB,and Bettis who was rusty like crazy because he had not played in the last month of the season and the playoffs game vs ravens, not a surprise this offense had a very bad game....The special teams were even worse in that game!
