I accuse players and coaches of lying when they say something that is unlikely to be true. Morse didn't actually say the Jags gave him more money, but it is incredibly rare for a player to say they signed somewhere just because it was the team that offered them the most money. They prefer talking up their teammates. That is a great way to evaluate whether or not a person you don't know is telling the truth. Try to understand what someone in that situation's motives would be.

Yes, I do think Khan is too busy trying to make every move a bargain. It happened at center. It happened at receivers. It is likely why he turned down Harris's option. If you think that makes him stubborn and stupid, go for it, but it'll piss off some folks here.

Morse is smart enough to realize that the Jags have a better chance of winning a playoff game before the Steelers will

Thats a silly take, I’m sorry man, it is.

Morse statement rings true. Way more believable than Khan doing something dumb like losing out on players because he is low balling everyone.

They turned down Harris option because they don’t think he is worth it and prefer Warren who is a year younger and significantly less wear and tear. Simple as that. You’ll see, they will end up extending Warren. Has the same feel as the Wallace/AB situation.

Agree, though I wouldn’t blink an eye if Harris gets extended. I’m not expecting it though.

They could have had both for two more seasons without breaking the bank. Their best bet is the combination for 2024 and '25, then let Harris walk after the fifth-year option season. He may not be lowballing everyone, but I think he's leaning a little too much into the Khan artist stuff, thinking everything has to be a genius move. Sometimes, they just need to make the solid play. That was Harris's option. That was spending a little more to get a quality veteran center.
