Hines Ward and Louis Lipps are my favorite Steelers WRs of all time, but they were not as good as Stallworth, Swann and AB.

Truth. But I wouldn't call Ward or Lipps average. The other 3 were elite. Stallworth was my fav. He was a monster.

I'm not saying Hines Ward was average, but he was no Randy Moss, Megatron or Larry Fitzgerald.

Ward was better than anybody on the current roster. Also, that was nearly 20 years go. The game has become even more pass-happy.

Aiyuk becoming a distraction for the 49ers. still holding out hope we can get him. at this point, if he creates enough of a fuss, it would probably reduce the haul the 49ers would receive in a trade.

Still would take a few picks and a boat load of cap space.

And some have been advocating giving up a 1st. :lolol:

What about Dan Moore and a second round pick for Aiyuk?

No way in hell should they give up a first if they are also going to have to sign him to a huge contract extension.

Agreed. A 2nd I could see. But the cap hit and what him and his agent will command is not the way the Steelers do business. I'm sure a large portion will be guaranteed money. A LARGE portion. He would be a solid upgrade I just don't see it happening.

The 49ers are not dumb!....I mean they still have Trent Williams as LT,so they will not take Moore who is at one year away from free agency

His trade goes from a 6th rounder to a 4th rounder.

What has any team won without Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes over the past decade? You need to fill in the pieces somehow if you're not going to be able to match that level of talent at QB.

Over the last 13 years, either Brady or Mahomes, or both, have been every championship game.

In 9 of those 13 years(70%), either Brady or Mahomes, or both, have been in the super bowl.

In 7 of those 13 years(54%), either Brady or Mahomes, has won the super bowl.

So, to answer your question "What has any team won without Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes over the past decade?", the answer is, not much.

yea those 2.66 catches per game and 1 TD in 9 games of the playoffs is why they got there? i'd say maybe mccaffery and debo had a lot more to do with that.

van jefferson averages 2.55 catches per game and 1 TD in 6 playoff games. so we should give up a high draft pick and 30 mil. per year for aiyuk? i just don't see it.

Aiyuk caught 75 passes for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023. Jefferson caught 20 for 208 and no scores. Funny how you left that out. Both had over 800 yards receiving in 2021, but Jefferson has steadily declined since then while Aiyuk's numbers have improved each year. Funny how you left all that out of the comparison.

If you want to bring team success into it, Jefferson hasn't played for a playoff team since 2021. Aiyuk has helped the 49ers make the playoffs the last three seasons.
