I've actually heard that when the NFL makes public a failed test it is because it is the second one that has been failed. So I don't know if that's true or not. Also they say Lewis has never failed a test but does that deer stuff even show up in a test?

Well just because something is "your life" doesn't mean that you have no rules. They SIGNED to play in the NFL and when they did that they SIGNED to adhere to the NFL's policy. If they don't like the policy and just wanna take steroids I suggest they asked to be released from their team and the league. It doesn't matter what their opinion or prerogative is. They put their name on paper saying they would do what they are told to do and that's just t-u-f-f if they don't like it.

I don't think that's true, but I'm not positive. Everything I've read in the past says the CBA prevents the league from disclosing the results of drug tests, though I can't find anything about that specifically in the CBA. I can't think of an instance where the league has publicly divulged the details of a failed test.

    Nope. :)

Okay, you make a valid point. And if we want to keep the rules the same then I agree that all athletes should adhere to these same rules.
I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think the rules should be in place at all. I think we can both agree that athletes will always try to bend the rules to get an edge. I say throw the rules out. But by doing so you'd have to question any records going forward, ala Barry Bonds.
