I should not laugh at that. The Bucs absolutely have MLB starting pitching and we'll have them next season. I own the Bucs I would make a move to get some bats and reliable closer. Alas, Mr. Nutbag will probably get rid of Skenes and Jones for super great future prospects and a lower payroll.

I didn't watch many Yankee games but the guy was scary good in his prime. A lot of guys would be swinging the bat when ball was past them.

 

I always said it doesn’t matter to an extent about team payroll.

Touching base on Ohtani, got him on three straight pitches first AB. Ohtani got Skenes on 2 AB with A 415 shot to the bullpen. He is without a doubt best player in MLB right now.

 

Dodgers and Yankees have exemplified that in most years, with the Mets topping the list this year of high $$$ and low return. What's not to like about padded salaries, bought teams and sorry results?

I was on the road and listened to some of tonight’s game against the Twins in the car. They shut out the Twins and Keller won his eighth of the season, but he had some real luck going for him. He had the bases loaded with one out, and got out of it. He also was helped by a circus catch by Reynolds in LF. I told my SO that he was like a guy who stepped in dog**** and then with the next step, stepped in a puddle of water that completely cleaned his shoe. Repeatedly. She thought that was a good description.

 

He threw some amazing pitches to get out of jams.

 

Now only 0.5 game out for a playoffs spot for the pirates!

 

Sorry again but I'm guaranteeing the Bucs lose Saturday. We are using our bullpen as starters. I imagine everyone will go 2-3 innings. Twins got a decent young buck going for them. Sorry Rollers.

Funny the Bucs are in last place but a half game out of second place. The NLCD is not a strong division and here is another guarantee, Brewers will represent the division and get smoked first round.

Sorry for the negativity but I saw we were 3 games away from .500, got a bit happy (with the Bucs you take what you can get) and then saw the starting pitchers for both sides today. Depressed me. IMO we have no chance and we will be 4 under after tonight

And only 4 team in the NL so far,so maybe we could have a team with a losing record in the postseason this year.....

 

Holy cow! It's like the other 4 took all the best players. If damn Nutbag would invest some money, nothing earth shattering, and get a few hitters we could be the under .500 Playoff team.

We had 1st and 2nd in the first inning with no outs and again in 3rd inning with 1 out with the meat of the order coming to bat. Connor Joe and Cruz and they blew it both times.
