Steelers absolutely need to add another good WR if they think we are truly contending this season. I guess the question begs with the QB situation can we actually contend regardless.

as I remarked above this is really going to stretch GM's creativity. The market is what it is, Minnesota can likely pay that with a rookie QB and hope that QB develops, but paying one , let alone 2 like Miami has done, and Cincy will have to do (not likely they can keep both Higgins and Chase). I was listening to some commentators that Dallas is crazy if they do not get a deal done with Parsons, Dak, and Lamb, but what do you have left, lol. The discussion can be made about Dak being overpaid, but that's the decision that has to be made with free market and a CAP.

Having voided year in their contract is one way GMs can do to stretch their current team window....at some point it will hurt like in 2030 but if it can stretch the window, why not!

I can see that as an option, and certainly if you have built a team that has a true window of opportunity then that type of extension with voidable years is a way of extending the window. If you have an exceptional player, Mahomes, then you can let certain players walk and still have a decent chance to still be in the running, but there are only a couple of guys like this. What we see is the next guy up commanding to be the highest paid, good for them, but the bigger piece of the pie you take means those around you are less likely to help the team make the final goal.

I hope the Bengals pay Chase 30 million a year, and lose Higgins in the process :hehehe:.

Have we discussed signing Grayland? Does not look like anything more than a camp body or special teams.

Reports from Gerry Dulac Steelers Insider say the Steelers are going to sign Cam Sutton to a one year deal at the vet minimum.

If they do sign Sutton, they better have a backup plan once he gets suspended.

Tom Pellisero has confirmation from Sutton's agents, so we actually have it from a reliable source. Dulac doesn't qualify as that anymore.

Glad to see this move. I feel better about what they have at cornerback. Now if they can find a No. 2 receiver.

I would hope they had some indication from the league about this before signing the contract.

As long as it's not Patrick Peterson!

I heard it on 93.7 The Fan that Dulac reported it. Your right his reporting is a crap shoot but he was right this time.

Didn't want to lose Sutton when he went to the Lions.

I like Noah, because all his reporting's are about what he saw at practice that day. He may be wrong, but he has his eyes on the Steelers team in Pittsburgh. His reports are all "I saw this today", and "I talked to this player today"

It is the Chat Sports guy Jack Sperry , that I don't know if he is real or fake reporting. He never says "I" when reporting what is going on. He is always quoting other people to tell his audience what is going on in Pittsburgh. This guy may be broadcasting from Texas as far as his firsthand knowledge goes. I guess it is not fake reporting, he is just reporting what other people are reporting like the National shows due.
