I knew it. F-N Pat Meyers and Sarrett. Check the Steelers depth chart and you will see when Munch was here in 2018 Chuks was the Backup LT. In 2019 he was the Backup again to Big AL at LT, and in 2021 he was supposed to be the starting LT with Banner on the Right side. But with Munch gone they moved Chuks to RT and he quickly went downhill.

Did you notice where the article says that Chuks will be playing . Exactly where Mike Munchak wanted him to play for Pittsburgh, at the LT position!!! F-N Pat Meyer!!!

The Patriots are playing Okorafor at left tackle, which is something that he rarely did with the Steelers.

You watch 26 year old Chuks will pull a Kevin Dotson, and by getting away from Pat Meyer and returning to his natural position he will become a standout LT in the League.

Good points. But I still think Tomlin's hiring assistant coaches is below average. Except for Flores. I liked him.

KFP did have Canada, so upgrading from that and improving won’t be hard.

Funny you mention Kenny’s 8 1/2” hands being full. McKee has great size at 6’6” 231lbs. But his hands are on the smaller side at 9 3/8”. Thankfully Russell Wilson has the largest hands at 10 1/4”, for all first round QBs since 2008

It doesn't matter which side Chuks plays on, he's just not that good .

There is absolutely nothing in his performance over the last four years that shows he can do that. Dotson had good moments. Okorafor spent most of his time as a starter getting shoved deep into the backfield.

You left out the part where Chuks was moved to right due to a season ending injury to Banner. It wasn’t some moment of stupidity by the Steelers like Brice suggests

Chuks should have been moved back to LT after filling in at RT. Keeping him at RT was the mistake. Just like when they moved Dotson to LG when he had a great rookie year playing RG.

A good O-Line coach would put their players in their Best positions to succeed. Having Chuks playing RT and Dotson playing LG was a mistake and stupid.

An offensive lineman who gets shoved into the backfield more often than not is going to suck no matter where you play him.

We will see. I always loved Chuks potential at LT.

Can a move back to LT, and a different O-Line coach put him back on the board?

I thought he showed something as a rookie and I always thought he was better suited to the blind side, but he gets his ass kicked at the snap way too often.

Never got the sense that Tomlin was a technique coach kind of guy.

First off Dotson started 4 games his rookie year, two at left guard and two at right. Chuks played basically the whole season at rt after the injury to banner week1. The following year we have rookie in Dan Moore at lt, Dotson at lg, green at center , trae turner at rg, and chuks at rt. You want to move a rookie to right tackle despite the fact he’s never played there. Move your right tackle to left tackle despite the fact he’s never played there. As far as I can tell he only played rt at western Michigan. Your next move is to move a 6 year vet rg (only rg)to lg so Dotson can move to right. On top of that we had a rookie center. Does that sum up your master plan?

Chucks was the backup LT his rookie year under Munch, and practiced everyday as LT.
Dotson was the backup RG and practiced everyday at RG as a Rookie.

    I don’t give a damn
are you really trying to suggest a few reps in training camp is better experience than actually playing. Chuks plays 16 games at rt move him to left!

Well, he's not an OL coach, so I doubt he would be teaching techniques to the OL .

True but Tomlin need to put his players at their natural position or the problems will continue at the o-line.He also need to stop to find a way to play Moore too

If Jones and Fautanu are the starters, then Moore doesn't need to play unless there's an injury to the starters.

    This.

Kenny Pickett didn't have a defining trait when be entered the league. However, not supporting him properly did him little to no favors. Between me and you, as I stated before, I wish him all the best.

    Hope he does well.

Between me and you, I wanted Taner McKee badly in 2023. Sadly couldn't get him. He was one my favorite QBs in that draft.

9 3/8 inches is still good enough for the Philly Weather. Tanner will be fine. Question remains is how much better can he grow?! Time to find out.
