8-8 is still 8-8 no matter who was Qb, and 8- 8 is a losing season. Imo

Keeping Canada for the 2023 season was probably Art's decision, but it went so bad they had to fire him during the season.

Possible but the decision was still just awful....I would have fired Canada after the bye week in 2022 at the latest

You think Russ is the only QB to be not liked by his teammates? I don't care about what happened with Seattle and Denver, after the last few years I'm sure Wilson is humbled, and prove he can still be a good starting QB.

They have gone 8-8 three times in the Tomlin era IIRC.

Yeah, but Art doesn't like to pay coaches to sit at home, I will admit I thought we would see some improvement in the offense in 2023.

same for me...This is one of the reasons I am going to be more cautious in my expectations for 2024... Possible that the steelers have a good season but I will keep my expectations low, so I will be less disappointed or surprised if it happens

Agreed. I also find it really funny how people are praising our GMs for the players, and as soon as things don't look right ....somehow it's Tomlin that went , and got them. LoL

Hard to have this record with a 17 games schedule, even if they were very close to that in 2021 :roflmao:

Wonder why Stink thinks this, the Steelers are going old school pound the rock
    Play action, play good defense.

I've been on here for 13+ years, and it's always been that way. Good draft pick- Colbert/Kahn. Bad draft pick- Tomlin. And don't forget, players win games, Tomlin loses games.

If there's a season ending injury to any of the starting D line then we are in big trouble. The depth is pretty awful and an unknown.

If it happens teams will run up the middle at will like they've done recently.

There's nothing more disheartening than watching your team become a funnel

good point. but i'm optimistic. every team has new parts each year that have to come together.

especially encouraged by Khan. colbert's first round picks in recent years have been poor (except for Watt) so that has handicapped Tomlin. and I'm usually a Tomlin critic. so this year's off season is a bright spot for me.

i'm even thinking of using the Caps button more this year.

I have a feeling Tomlin will never have a losing season, at least not with the Steelers. Not saying that wouldn't be an impressive accomplishment for him, but it doesn't win you playoff games, let alone another Super Bowl

    This.

Granted, thanks to him, Pittsburgh can tie an old enemy's record; quite remarkable if you ask me. Tomlin has been here 17 of those 20 seasons thus far. Should he do it again, make it 18 of 21... with a catch. Little to no playoff success to show for it.

People seem to forget our #7 wasn’t exactly the best teammate either. Hell both Hines and Batch called him out publicly.
