Spectrum cable TV alone is $180 with 3 cable boxes. Spectrum charges $10 for each extra box. It's crazy....and Spectrum has the monopoly in our area for cable TV. Only other option is satellite TV....DISH or DIRECTV....if one is not streaming.

Since local sports reporters/journalists are retweeting this, seems like this has a good chance to be true:

You can bet I’ll be there and take it to the bank. We decided this will be our once a year away adventure for my son and I. Wife will join us but as usual just to go hiking.

The biggest response I can come up with here is …….meh. Hard to get excited about that match up.

I will do my best even if I have to put a bounty on Sean Payton.

I tried it when it was on a sale price, but cancelled immediately after the trail period. I thought it would play nicer with an overseas IP or the VPN and it didn't, there were still blocks. I'm running DAZN Japan right now and it plays nicely with my local IPs. Also works very well when I'm watching via VPN in the US.

My bad.....I didn't answer your question.

$90 for Hulu Live which includes a sh!tload of new channels that I didn't have when I first signed up in 2019 including NFL Network, Weather Channel, Hallmark and Lifetime (for the wife)... and the Disney Bundle so I don't have to pay for it separately. I'm a big Star Wars fan.

So that's $90 for Hulu + $80 for Spectrum broadband cable internet = $170/month. As opposed to what my father is paying for Spectrum Cable: CableTV, Internet and Landline at $305/month.

To be fair... I'll throw in my mobile phone service through Walmart Straight Talk at $44. So that's $170 + $44 = $214/month vs. $305 for Cable TV/internet/landline package.

I almot bit on YT as well. but when they first started it was super cheap...got the ad for trail service and when I saw the NOW price, plus the cost of NFL package I refused. I can listen to Bill Hilgroves replacement on radio for free.

You have the rebates going on. In 2011.... my DirecTV bill was $34.99. Wait until those rebates expire. My final DirecTV bill in 2019 was $180.... with no premium channels and same exact service I had when I signed up in '11.

Plus, I live in bumf*ck appalachia..... so DirecTV gouges rural folk, since we don't have many options for TV service. Dish does the same damn thing.

I’ve come to the conclusion that as a die hard Steelers fan I am willing to just pay whatever the bastards charge me because in the long run I would lose my flipping mind about 15 minutes before kick off every single week if I weren’t able to watch this possible heart attack fingernail chewing contest. I have no idea how anyone could just watch highlights and get the same euphoria. As much as I hate paying the bill I know that my sanity is pretty much worth it. Now if they could just win another damn Super Bowl before I die I will be able to meet up with those that passed before and tell them they should have been there.

Last year about half the games were prime cable games or broadcast on Los Angeles network channels. The rest I watched on steaming delay via ($79/yr) NFL+ that deletes the commercials and halftime goobers. No complaints here, but patience with NFL+ delay option is a virtue. Beats that $250/mo DTV package with Sunday Ticket.

I'm not going to look at past schedules, but does anyone recall a team playing all 6 division games within the last 8 weeks of the season. I remember 4 games in the 2nd half, usually spaced out a bit more, but this seems really odd.

Nope never. Our second half of the season is brutal. I heard on the way home from work that the Steelers have the #1 toughest schedule this year.

2001 or 2002 we had 6 division games in 7 weeks.
At the time, before realignment there were 5 teams in a division and only 14 games, so more than half your games were against division teams.

One thing the team can be thankful for, their travel schedule during that time period is very close to home. lol

For directv with pretty much the same channels I have on YouTube tv is about $50 more per month.
Besides $80 bucks a month is nothing for as much as you get. Heck take the wife out to Applebee’s for dinner and a couple drinks and you’ll probably spend more than that.

Things in life cost money and unless you’re crazy rich you probably can’t have/do everything you want.

I look at some things like this:
If I want it and it’s not in the budget I pick up a couple hours of overtime at work to pay for it. Or I do without.
