    Reposting then......

He had a good season last year. Above average. I expect that he will be solid and look like a QB with experience and a good arm. He won't be a legendary QB, but he will be solid.
The unknown factor is how much desire to flip the middle finger at Denver and Seattle does he have? If he is mad and can turn that into motivation, I could see him having a stellar season to rub it in......especially when we play Denver. What a great chance to give a heartfelt middle finger to the team that dumped you.

I am going with 27 TD, 11 INT, 3800 yards. I will up the tds if one of our WRs turns to be a great deep threat. Outside of that, I think that our run game is going to see a lot more tds than in the previous years. That will take a bit off of Wilson's tally.

Since I hadnt commented in the other one, I’ll say a game manager. He’ll have to prove it to me that he can be more than that after two teams have moved on from him, one of which ate a large amount of money to do so.

He is ranked 31 pre season in fantasy football rankings. I know fantasy isn’t real football but still most people expect our passing offense to remain arguably the worst in football.

I expect he'll play well. I just want to see how the offensive line gells

Given the WR's we have currently, it's not hard to imagine a run first offense.
I'm no fan of Wilson but he should do well here.
Just keep Fields off the Field and get rid of him in the upcoming offseason.

I don't care much for the yards and thing like that....If Wilson is able to hit big play at time and able to step up when this is the time,I will be very happy....Just to think about Roethlisberger in 2004 and 2005 but at a higher volume a bit

If Mason can light up the scoreboard , I am sure Russ can at least be above average on stats and moving the ball. I figure 10-7 or 9-8.

Fantasy for QBs is primarily scored on TDs then yards. If our run game is that good then a game manager will work in the regular season. Don’t think game managers are beating Pat Mahomes however in order to be a championship type team you need to be able to throw it around this isn’t 1975.

I am expecting a year a lot like Ben's last year in the league.

Russ will put up decent stats, but there will be lots of missed throws, checkdowns, and happy feet in the pocket.

I feel like the Steelers are still a team with a 10-7 ceiling.

Better passer than Mitch ,not a turn-over machine like Mitch and a better runner or rather smarter .With an improved O-Line better run game we have more hope of a playoff win or 2 .

I'm hoping he proves enough to get resigned to a short term deal and mentor our 2025 QB pick.

I hope RW does very well and gets signed for a few years, but only time will tell.

I still think we are 10-7 and win a playoff game, but not making the Super Bowl team this year.

My question...does nobody want Fields to succeed here? I keep reading about drafting a QB in 2025 and cutting Fields...why will he not be great here?

I’m one of the few that want them to go with Fields sooner rather than later. I think they are wasting time with Wilson.

If you listen to Bronco fans they sum up his time there as

    3 and out
    3 and out
    3 and out
    Deep bomb completion
    3 and out
    3 and out
    3 and out
    Deep bomb TD
    3 and out
    3 and out
    3 and out

The guy is not the future why not find out if the young guy is. Now I can understand wanting to start with Wilson in case he can turn back the clock and win a SB but I hope they don’t waste too much time if it’s apparent he doesn’t have it anymore.

Wilson is way past his prime and Fields is inconsistent and a turnover machine. The roster looks solid except at QB and WR.

The difference is I think Fields is more likely to correct his problems than Wilson is able to go back in time.

I’d like to have a good idea going into the draft next year.

I think Wilson improves the offense, especially the passing game, and we make playoffs as a wildcard.

Then a fighting chance to win one playoff game.

My gut says he might get hurt and miss some games. Hope not.

This exactly. Only Different....is the OL, and run game should be better than Ben's last year.

I will be very disappointed if Wilson is not better than Ben in 2021 but it is certain that it is one of the possible scenarios that can happen.
