Well.. in the aftermath of the 2024 Draft, Russell Wilson has no excuses for this is the best Offensive Line he has had (on paper) since his earlier years in Seattle. It would make me feel a lot better if the Steelers nab a WR via trade (or more specifically Cortland Sutton) but that will likely not happen until after June 1st for the cap hit will be more feasible than before June 1st. Regardless... all up to Russell Wilson now.

You do realize that was almost 10 yrs ago? Of course I would be excited to have Russ from 10yrs ago!
Hopefully he still has something left in his tank.

 

I think that is where people keep getting hung up. We don’t need him to achieve superstar status from 8 or 10 years ago.

We need someone who can captain the ship and provide some production from the QB position. Remember when Peyton won a SB with Denver, he wasn’t his superstar self either.

We will have a completely reworked offensive line with two good RBs.

 

It has been said on a number of occasions, but is worth repeating -

We have added some good players through the last two drafts. That paired with an upgraded QB room gives me hope that we will have a better season than the last few.

Well we had that in Ben His last two years....57 tds, and 20 ints, and everyone said that wasn't enough then, but now that's enough???

 

THe TD-INT ratio don't always tell the whole story....Overall our offense was bad at the end of 2020 and the entire 2021 season and the YPA of Ben was at 6.0 or something like that,who was one of the worst in the NFL...First 15 years of his career,it was always at 7.0 or higher for Ben....His arm was dead and he could not move at that point.The only thing he was fine in 2021 was the fourth quarter and to avoid turnovers but the turnovers mean nothing when you can't move the football and you are a bottom 10 offense....He was not the only problem since the o-line was awful,Matt Canada was pathetic but Ben was still bad

 

I said the exact same about Wilson from last Year, but You seemed to sweep that under the rug.

Seriously, both Wilson and Fields numbers are worse than Ben’s 6 ypa. I hope it gets better this season, but i even miss what you call the bad Ben.

The 2021 Ben was still better that the QB play the steelers had for most of the last 2 seasons but in 2021,Ben was still sad to watch at time

 

Ben Roethlisberger had a passer rating of 86.8 with 3,740 yards, 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 16 games in 2021. I wouldve def taken them numbers the past 2 years
Definitely not prime time numbers. But just like we gave KFP a free pass with Canada, do we put some of the blame for some of Ben’s downfall?
