I always thought the big dollars would wise some of them up. I remember Tiger Woods had a sit down with Barkley and Jordon at the start of his career. (guess they forgot being faithful helps) These guys are young and not fully matured. They really need a solid support group. I would think NFL teams have some sort of introduction course. Something like, "I'm young, I'm a stud, chick are going to dig me and I'm freaking rich, how to deal with it;)

Then there was AB:( Better noggin he would have been so respected in the Burgh. I noticed a lot of fans I talk with seem to forget how badass he was.

several CB FA options sit out there. We have 3 ready.

they MUST be comfortable with Trice.

With the Steelers track record being what it is over the last twenty years, I have zero faith in their ability to draft or develop a corner. But I thought that with having the pick of the litter when it came to the corners available this year, I was hoping they would make the move. The possibility of having two top tier corners in today's game is hard to pass up, IMO.

So is the possibility of having two top tier tackles. Where we usually pick, it's a lot easier to find a top tier CB than a top tier tackle.

we are working on WREAKING HAVOC in the backfield, on quarterbacks. We have decent corners - bring back Sutton, he is strong in the slot at also creating chaos.

we are overthinking this , IMO.

there is plenty of time in FA to find an add'l CB or 2

and as far as WR - same thing. Moves can still be made. and as I said when DJ was shown the door, it is C Austin time! HE is the WR that needs to step up - I think Tomlin and Smith think he can.

No they have burned often when they have signed aging FA’s wether it be ILB or CB. I think they are a little gun shy.

they have been burned with FA's and with drafting

    we have mis-fired.

    it happens.

    scheme + players + coaching

    yes, we have failed.

I wouldn’t mind Dj Chark at WR and Gilmore at CB and bring in Sutton for the Slot CB.

I doubt they are going to sign two more veteran cornerbacks, but I would certainly like to see them bring in one of those guys.

Its on lot of faith and Eggs stored in the Corey Trice Jr. and Darius Rush basket. I still think there will be a veteran signing at CB and WR, yet.

But, your not going to take care of everything in one draft. If these offensive of linemen all pan out decently, your higher picks will be set to all other areas outside of 0-Line short of picking up 6-7th round depth pieces.

I am hoping the Steelers learned their lesson with Pat P last year, on brining in a 33 year old CB, so NO to Gilmore. (Pat P. 2 years for $14 million)

I read the Steelers were talking to Adoree Jackson in March. Post draft maybe the price is right???

    This.

Free agency exists for a reason; fill the holes that you cannot fill in the draft. The Draft is to act to address the more immediate needs. Free agency grants access to needs that can be addressed in the draft... but doesn't have to be.
