Okay. I'm supersized no one has posted this yet, so I did.

Yes this is a sticky situation, but there is a reason Tomlin AND Kahn met with him. Yeah I'm sure they were like WTF Cam. You were a model citizen here. Maybe they were kicking the tires as a SCB, OCB, OCB/SCB role pre Draft.

I just have a feeling we are bringing him. TONS of questions here!

So, Does he ever have a chance here again?

Can he ever be forgiven, IF he is doing, does the right things?

Is he worth the problems signing him?

What he did during and after can NEVER condoned!

Still we have a SCB hole. He COULD resume his old role, which would be perfect for us right now.

I'm torn on this one, and there just isn't any concrete info on what he is mandated to do and if he is doing it. It seems he is.

Is it just too early yet, and we need to wait, give him more time to prove himself worthy of a 2nd chance?

Just cut bait? They don't go see him if that's the case. The team always raved about him.

They really didn't want to lose him, they just couldn't/wouldn't pay him what he got paid.

Can he even pay his dues in time.

Getting him back on a team like ours maybe the best thing for him, AND his family.

He served one day. And it's in pre trail. I'm sure Pittsburg is waiting to see what the findings are. But if it's something they can work with, they'll bring him back.

I'm all for giving second chances. If a player turns themselves in and serves whatever is handed to them.

But Pittsburg could have met with for non reasons to bringing him back

How many chances did Antonio Brown have at the end?

I have no problem if Sutton has a second chance if he is clean after that

Maybe. I’d prefer Steven Nelson if he’d come back here.

As long as he straightens out the domestic situation and gets his mind right, then I am fine with him coming back.

As far as a player, I don’t remember him being a problem on the team.

I thought about Nelson recently, I have not even followed or looked up his recent stats, but this is the signing period for this type of player. After draft and UDA signings, you scour the land and fill up the rest of your roster.

As for Cam, I'm all for 2nd chances and NFL careers are short, but this is still a recent happening, besides whatever court decisions he has to work through, the league may very well impose some penalties.

I was hoping that they found the money to retain him. Home grown and was the only real corner that excelled as a draft pick for some time.

As far as his troubles the courts, the league will have to figure it out first. I don't condone what he is charged with and also disappearing.

If things can be rectified then a 2nd chance would be fine with me.

Elvis mentioned Steven Nelson. He would also be a good addition who is a free agent. Had 4 picks last season and still can cover.

I never understood them letting him go in the first place. I thought he played well when he was here.

Something happened. I don't think it's within his character.

Bring him back and give him a second chance if he's hungry for one.

I'm still trying to figure out how the OP is super-sized and I'm thinking this should be in the Culinary thread. ;)

Let the NFL complete their investigation and
Cliff’s notes The da issued a felony arrest warrant for domestic violence. He turned himself in. He was released on own recognizance the next day. Charges were reduced to misdemeanor. Entered pretrial diversion program. All clear.
At least that’s my understanding. No details on the actual incident in question.

Nelson was on a podcast last year I think it was and he was trashing the Steelers, saying they still haven't been able to replace him since he left.

They should bring him back. No one really knows what happened in his private life and we don’t need to. He should pay the price for what he did and then play football. People make mistakes and terrible judgements in their lives and the only thing they can do is learn from it. He didn’t kill anyone and he didn’t beat her almost to death. I know that domestic violence touches people in different ways and some have been victims that have suffered badly. I just don’t think him playing football or not, will fix that situation. Keep in mind he’s a young man, and I can remember messing up many times in different ways looking back.

I was really surprised when the news headlines flashed about him.

This isn't A.B. we are talking about here. Cam seems like a really good guy, and by all reports prior to this he is a high character guy.

...maybe it just a fluke "one bad day" scenario?

All we can do is see how the justice system shakes out on this. If they deem it is minor and he is cleared to play, I would give him a shot.
