Who is left that can we take to fill the slot position and add outside CB depth? Are there any free agent CB’s left that are not old and washed up?

Still some talent left. Draine, Jackson, Hart, Tampa. There are others.

Corner and WR are my two biggest fears. I like the WR we got but doubtful he’s an every down starting caliber player this season at least and supposedly we are win now mode.

I would certainly feel better if he were our third WR. Maybe they trade the 4th rd pick for Cortland Sutton today. The problem is that really hurts us from picking up a slot cb. We had an amazing draft so far but I said we had too many holes to fill and we wouldn’t be able to fill all of them. Unless they know of some free agents or rookie free agents they have in mind I am not sure how we fill the Cb room. We may be playing alot more 3 Safety sets or even see Payton Wilson as monster Slot or something.

Stephon Gilmore might be the best option in Free Agency. Other than him there is Steven Nelson, Ahkelo Witherspoon and Adoree Jackson. Pretty slim pickens and of course Chandon Sullivan Patrick Peterson. I would prefer we don’t bring back Patrick Peterson. I just don’t see any value their other than he is familiar with our system. He has lost a step and he isn’t great at tackling. You need to tackle if you are going to play in the slot. Would mind getting the small safety from Texas Tech I think it is Dorian something. He has experience playing slot and he is fast and aggressive. Then sign Gilmore to a one year contract to compete with Jackson on the perimeter.

I really believe that they see a ton of potential in Trice. I said at the end of the year that we should look forward to seeing this guy healthy and playing. We'll see if he can stay healthy.

Steelers talking with Cam Sutton. That's best case scenario, IMO.

    Exactly this.

Last night of we went WR Wilson. Then I would have been fine with our WR situation.

Trice is an outside CB even if he stays healthy, they need a slot CB, in the fourth round they need to draft one.

I'm not sure about the transition but I'm assuming training can accomplish some of those adjustments

I know to start but if Trice comes on strong things could change.

Ryan is likely a box Safety/STAR role for the team. He isn't likely to stick at outside Corner. Slot is outta the question even though he is a super freak of an athlete...

Watts...6'3"-208, 4.53/40, good open field tackler. Hmmm, ST ace at least to start out.

I said he could be the best the team has had since Tyler Matakevich. Thing is, Watts is a far superior athlete than Tyler could have ever hoped to be. Really pulling for him as Watts panning out is gonna do a lot for the back end in the long run.
